Update from #1FaninAZ at 6:39pm PST
"I was in the first group of 20 people. We were lead upstairs where David was sitting. I got my CD signed and then on the way out I saw Neal, Andy and Monty, they were being lead upstairs but I didn't get to meet them." #1FaninAZ will post her pictures when she returns home on Friday! Thanks for all of your updates today! It was awesome! |

Good Choice! I think I remember him saying he didn't like those pants-probably couldn't wait to hand them over...they don't look like "him"-someone stylist probably picked them out. Had to chuckle!!!

hey I am trying to reach the lady from Arizona who was behind me in the line at the M&G....I think it may have been #1faninArizona?? Sent you a pm. Hope it was you!! I took her photo and she took mine with Dave!!
It was very nice...low key....less than 300 people came...about 250. There was no signage outside the Hard Rock so the only way you would have known about it was through the media. I came at 7pm and was able to get my CD and get in line immediately...only about 10 people in front of me. It was very calm, and when I went up, Andy, Neal, and Monty were all there too. David was very cute when Arizona gal took my picture with him....he was seated at the end of the table and I went to stand at the tableside, and his security guy (the big ugly one from the AI tour) barked at me to get in front of the table....David mumbled under his breath "all these stupid rules"....and then said to me...."like you're so dangerous".....very cute. It almost seemed too easy. ;-) hope I have the right girl here........looking forward to the photos!! |

Yes, you have the right lady!! Just got home from my trip. The pictures posted already are better than the ones I have and I am glad someone was able to get them on quickly.
I didn't go to the Ventura concert but took my son to Universal Studios instead. I was told it was so crazy with it being $1 admission day and parking/shuttle service was taking forever. Oh well, atleast I have November to look forward to. Meeting him again was awesome and my son just couldn't understand why I was shaking and nervous. I had to remind him not to reveal any of my "secrets" when he went up to meet David!! That would be my luck. I met some new friends and now have a personalized copy of the CD. He looked at me very curiously when I walked up to him, like he had seen me before. I asked him, "do you remember me?" He said "yeah". I showed him my tattoo tribute and he says, "yeah, yeah, your going to run out of leg pretty soon." I shook his hand and had to move on. It was very rushed. My son and I went down to have something to eat and all of a sudden, I see Andy and Neil walking up the stairs. I thought, oh, figures. I should have waited to go later in the line. So we just hung out watching people go up and come back down. I thought of someone I should have had a CD signed for and so I went and bought another CD and got to go through to meet him again. I was in the last group this time. I walked up and he says, "You again?". I said, "Yes, I thought I would have you sign another CD to someone else". Then he passes the cover on down to Andy and Neil and I asked David if I could take a picture with him. He said "real quick" and I had ssfb take the picture, the security guy was very careful not to let me behind the table where David was!! I don't think this was the same guard as the one on the Idol tour. I think this guy is a local guard to David when he is in L.A. Anyway, it was a great day. #1FaninAZ, I'm so glad you and your son had a great time and were able to meet David. Thanks again for sending updates the day of the event and posting your pictures.
sfbb, how bizarre that you should happen to get in line right in front of #1FaninAZ, it's a small world isn't it. I'm glad everyone had a great time and thanks to everyone who posted pictures and recaps of the event. |
