"After becoming involved with ABC2 and the Race For Hope last year, I was extremely humbled by the dedication of everyone involved, which makes my excitement exponentially higher for this year and the years to follow. "
"I look forward to not only HOPEFULLY beating my time from last year, but also to raising both funds and awareness for the purpose of eradicating this terrible illness. " "Let's try for back-to-back titles as best fundraising team! Join my team and run with me in our nation’s capital. If you can't be in Washington, DC for the race, join my team and register as a "Virtual Runner" to raise funds and awareness wherever you are! " "Thank you for all your help!" http://www.braintumorcommunity.org/site/TR...&fr_id=1490 Please help out and donate!! |

I hope a lot of money is raised for such a worthy cause! I hope a cure for all cancers is found. I know that may never happen though

I hope a lot of money is raised for such a worthy cause! I hope a cure for all cancers is found. I know that may never happen though I really hope so aswell, its the most horrible thing in the world from my perspective, but I do believe that we will find a cure , maybe not tommorow or maybe not even 10 years from now, but I do think that we will find a cure someday |

David tweeted this morning here is what he said: "Oh and if anyone wanted to get me anything for mine, go here and donate. www.braintumorcommunity.org"
You can make a donation directly to his team, no amount is too small- http://www.braintumorcommunity.org/site/TR...&fr_id=1490 If you can't make a donation, that's ok, please help spread the word on any message boards you visit and with your friends. Let's help make this a great birthday for David! |

Attention David Cook team who are attending the Race for Hope and the Phil Marshall Benefit Concert. A friend of mine was able to secure 20 double double rooms at the JW Marriott below the rate advertised on their website and they will be distributed on first come first serve basis. The hotel doesn't have the rate in their system yet, but should be there shortly. Some people just held rooms and the reservationist put in Marshall Cook Team to hold the rooms, but by the time this is posted, the rate might be in computer. The rooms are available Thursday, April 29, Friday April 30 and Saturday May 1 for $289 plus tax. If you are arriving on Wednesday, April 28 or staying through Sunday May 2, those rooms will be made available for $309 plus tax. There are no cancellations after you have booked your room and given them your credit card, although the credit card will not be charged until you check in. This is how you make the reservation. Call the 800 reservation or the hotel directly and tell them that you would like to make a reservation for date---and tell them you would like the Phil Marshall David Cook Team Race for Hope rate. The numbers are below. If you have a Marriott Rewards number give the reservationist your number because you are eligible for upgrades to the concierge floor if you normally get that upgrade. The rate isn't available on the website, you must call. If you'd like to see the accomodations, you can see them at http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/wasj...el-washington... 1331 Pennsylvania Avenue NW Washington, District Of Columbia 20004 USA Phone: 1-202-393-2000 Fax: 1-202-626-6991 800 number -- 800-393-2503 |
