Really need some help here! We are moving *FAST* as merchandise plans have fallen through (and then fallen through again and again and again). We are on back-up plan #5 or 6, and we have run out of time. We need to make some quick decisions, and we need your help to see what might resonate best.

Cook Fans Unite 2 Fight is the name of our benefit in Kansas City.

Proposed Magnet option?

Sticker option (more linear for bumper sticker, of course)?

Thank you in advance for your feedback. We really need some help here, guys, as our backs are against the wall. Appreciate all thoughts and support! I should add that, of course, proceeds go to the Cook Fans Conquering Cancer effort in support of the American Cancer Society. smile.gif

I really like the sticker option, because it has the bracelet under the hand with the conquering cancer. I think that adds a nice touch smile.gif

Ah-ha ha ha! You got that, did you?! Thanks!!! biggrin.gif There was some major debate about that! It may not make it into the bumper sticker version just because it gets so small, but we'll see.

Thanks for noticing that - the artists (yes, multiple artists have worked on the many versions of these designs) will be so pleased.

Not to be picky, because I do love the design, but is it possible to flip the hand around so it's the left hand like David?

LOL. The # of times we've talked about the hand. Actually, the hand in our design *is* a left hand. As if you or a certain lefty was standing there, put the left hand in ink and left the print. Thumb on the right?

The photo above is a TV image, so kind of like a mirror. His left hand is on our right side. If we flipped it, it would look like a righty had dipped their hand in ink and left the print. We were thinking actual real-life, as if a lefty had left that imprint. No?

What'd you guys think? Should we flip the hand?

Yeah, that makes sense if you're going for the handprint effect. I just thought when I first saw it that it was supposed to be like looking at David's actual hand in front of me. But the handprint's awesome too! Whatever, it's your design, I'm sure I'll buy it either way! smile.gif

LOL, laurskaos. This is bringing me such a smile on a Saturday afternoon when I *really* needed it, thank you! This is not the first time we've had this conversation/debate when looking at the artwork. Seriously, are we wrong here? Without using a photographic hand, we didn't want it to look creepy or odd (illustrated) -- and then we found that the handprint could mean so many more things.

It's OUR design. Seriously, this stuff has been touched by 3-4 artists. So, it's all of ours at this point. If we're really coming at this wrong, definitely let us know! We're all sleep-deprived and perhaps too close to it to see the forest for the trees. lol.

Thank you for the smiles! Needed them so badly, I can't even begin to tell you!

*HUGS Lisa*

I LOVE the give back on the hand. I sat here staring at my hands trying to figure out the left vs. right bit...I just had to give up...lol.

I showed my friend the design, cuz she's very visually oriented, and she suggested putting a web site on the stickers, so people have a direction of where they could 'give back'.

Well I'm glad I could bring you some smiles!! I wouldn't stress about this too much, whichever way the hand is facing it's still a hand with "give back" written on it, which is significant enough.

For my DC obsessed brain, the direction of the hand jumped out at me right away because I just have that image of him holding his hand out cemented in my brain, so my first though was "hey! it's the wrong hand!" But any random non-DC obsessed person who will see the bumper sticker on my car won't know right from left or whatever. It's the message that counts.

If it were completely up to me I'd probably flip it, but if that causes you any extra headaches or stress, then don't worry about it. You're doing quite enough as it is!!

That was the first thing i noticed! smile.gif I am an artist too (interior designer), so i'm glad they will be pleased that i noticed!!It just caught my eye! (or maybe DC's tattooed eye? LOL!! laugh.gif ) biggrin.gif I also like Jess' idea about maybe a website where they could give back (maybe for American Cancer Society?)

Since you asked, the "wrong hand" thing jumped out at me, too (and like laurskaos, it could just be a DC-obsessed brain blink.gif ). I can see the handprint idea, but if you're reversing the direction of the hand as we saw it on TV, wouldn't the words be reversed, too? IDK...just wanted to share my initial thought. But, the part I bolded above is really what's important. I hope you guys have a VERY successful event, I can't wait to read all about it.

If you can fit it in, I think adding the website is a good idea, too. Especially on an item that would get more public exposure. A magnet probably wouldn't need it, but I think it would be beneficial on a bumper sticker where someone reading it would not have opportunity to ask you for more details.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the designs, especially the one with the bracelet! Kudos to the designers! wink.gif The hand doesn't bother me, but I see what others are saying. I kinda love the fact that we would even notice that it was the wrong one, haha!

I thought of the hand thing too, the first time you sent it to me, but with it being an obvious PRINT and not a picture of an actual HAND, I knew where you were coming from. I think having the "give back" on it make people think it's supposed to be his hand, but it's not like we're gonna leave that message off, it's too important.

Don't sweat the hand direction. The most important thing is the message and getting this out to the printer ASAP.

It looks SO much better with the black background, too biggrin.gif

*hugs*
