Nope, HSM still Number 1 overall..
HSM is not categorised into any genre (I think), since it's a bundle of audio n video..

QUOTE
But David is #1 POP! woohoo!

That is great news.

I think HSM was probably briefly dropping overnight as the kiddies went to bed... so it's not surprising that David would be #1 in the wee hours, then back to #2. It proves that he's a close #2 and I think he can overtake HSM. His appeal is much broader and diverse (he's got the teens listening to LO on Radio Disney and he always had a large fan base of college & 20somethings... and we know how well he sells among people 30-60). After SNL I think it will be #1. As for the week following its drop, he's got Nickelback to contend with, but his debut is going to be rock solid regardless.

I am staying far away from the movie theaters this weekend - I think HSM opens up in all theaters this Friday.

I don't think david was ever #1. People just keep confusing Pop and Top.
He's #1 on pop, #2 on top. but has been like that for more than a day...

The pre-order numbers are going to be included into the first-week sales right?
I don't know if he'll be #1 when his album drops in November because of the competition, but judging from the #2 on iTunes now..he's doing pretty well (understatement of the year) LOL laugh.gif

Yep, trust me on this. I'm ALWAYS online.
Whether I'm doing assigments or studying or just surfing D-C.org, Mjsbigblog, DCO.

The only time I'm not online are 1PM-7PM ET (1AM-7AM my time) which is my bedtime and 1AM-5AM ET (1PM-5PM my time) is when I have classes tongue.gif

I forgot to mention that over the past couple of days (including today), when I launch Safari, David's album is prominently displayed on the left in the itunes/music section. I've never modified or personalized the Safari start page - it's not my default browser but I now use it exclusively on my 2nd computer when I'm in David mode (which is always) because it runs both DCO & d-c.org more smoothly. Remember, Apple owns Safari so itunes is actively integrated into their start page. Today David's album is 3rd one down, picture included. Very much the middle of the screen. Your eye goes right to it! I think it's time to make Safari my default home page and build my bookmarks... I think it's superior to Internet Explorer.

I use Safari too (for the same reason you use it Scott!)
It's my default browser now smile.gif

Anyway, David's in the Featured Content section.
I'm waiting for Apple to update their Top Albums, so we can see him in two places at once!

I hate to be the bearer of any bad news, but, there has been some minor slippage in many of the chart positions today (we all know that will change after SNL airs, though wink.gif ) - currently, the album remains at #2 on the iTunes Top Albums list, and at #1 in Pop, while, LO has dropped to #21 on the Top Songs list (#10 on Pop), and TOML is now at #83 on this feed:

http://ax.phobos.apple.com.edgesuite.net/W...mit=100/rss.xml

Currently, on Amazon:
Amazon.com Sales Rank: #8 in Music (See Bestsellers in Music)
Popular in these categories: (What's this?)

#5 in Music > Pop
#6 in Music > Rock

As single MP3 downloads, LO has dropped to #11 and TOML has dropped to #25.

Wow thanks Scott, Safari is a nice smooth browser! Gpes right along with David's voice, lol.
Nice to see David on the front page.

Some of the numbers have dropped this morning - LO and TOML both have lower chart positions this morning compared to last night. As I said, it's minor at this point.

the dropping in Amazon's mp3 is very insignificant... The song probably sells 1,000 there at the end of the week.
But at Itunes is different... though it can mean the others are growing faster. I hope the song doesn't start falling much till the weekend.
