Hi Travis,

I see the second display you posted. My laptop & desktop both have widescreens, so it's nice to see something filling in the space!

I've been wanting to post something about the new look. You've done an awesome job on it. I really love the look. It's always feels like home here. I never noticed that the light bulb blinks when you first get here. LOL Guess I need to look around more.

Thanks for all you do here Travis. I know I'm guilty of taking things for granted sometimes ... but you're definitely appreciated! smile.gif

I'm seeing something in between one and two. I'm happy that I don't have to scroll over to see anymore. I'm very happy.

Hi travis!!! I actually have an INBETWEEN VIEW!! LOL !!! I'm working with a 1024 x 768 pixel resol. And this is the way I see the site on my pc. I cant even scroll to the sides, and until I saw your pic, I hadn't noticed the Bulb on the left or that we could actually see David's body!! sad.gif unsure.gif

That's what I have also. If I try and go higher it makes the entire screen smaller, and with these old eyes, I need it as big as I can get it. I don't know if having a 17" flat monitor has anything to do with it.

First off,
Morning interview with David Cook (November 19, 2008) - http://wjz.com/morningedition/David.cook.s...r.2.868271.html
3 minutes in, they show David-Cook.org in reference to his "website."

My main issue though and request is asking how you guys see the website. When they showed the website in the video, it looked like this:

I've heard a couple of people say they need to scroll to the right to view the rest of the site...These are people using screen resolutions 800x600 and lower. In the above image, they can't even see the LIGHT that flashes or the rest of Cook's body.

I use 1280x1024 screen resolution and the site then looks like this:

I would like everyone to please post if they see the website similar to picture 1 or picture 2. Of course it looks better in picture 2.

----------------------------------------

Here's a tip:
Most websites nowadays aren't made for a 800x600 screen resolution anymore (example in the first picture above shows that it doesn't show the whole site). Most sites are made in width of 1024 pixels (sorry for the new language).

Now it's time to change your display settings...view the example below:

- Right click on your DESKTOP
- Choose Properties
- Select Display Settings
- Drag the slider off of 800x600 and make it anything of 1024 or greater...

You can also access Appearances through the Control Panel. Start > Settings > Control Panel

I see something between 1 and 2. Can see half a light bulb, can't see David's whole body.

It's on the front page as well in the middle of all the mess right above the images. It'll say Log in or Register.

Thanks for the reply, Travis, but you missed my point. My problem: missing short cut for logging into the site. Currently, the Welcome: Login or Register link requires each user to go to a second page to log in -- takes at least twice as long as the old short-cut which allowed registered users to type their username and password in directly on the front page. I MUCH preferred it and wondered if anyone else had noticed.

I would say this is a dis-incentive for people to login -- or, more likely, to ever log out. Maybe you want us not to log in or out, just stay logged in all the time whether we're really online or not?
Thanks,
NEMO Cougar

I see picture 2. I don't really know what my resolution is although I believe it's at least 1280.
