Hi everyone! smile.gif

..I'm sorry if this has been discussed already, I'm still very new here, but... I just HAVE to know..

..what is everyone's opinion of David's 'guyliner'...???

..he wears it sometimes, sometimes not... do you have a *preference* one way or the other..? ..does it bother you at all..?

..I just have to know!!! smile.gif

..thanks!

I understand the need for it on stage but prefer him without also.

However, I have noticed that on SNL performance (and other TV performances) and some of the live performance videos---it seems more subdued lately---if it even there at all.

I'm in the "prefer without" camp. There were a few shows over the summer where it way over the top.

WHEEWWWWWWW!!!!!! smile.gif

..okay, then I feel safe in saying-----

I DON'T CARE FOR IT!!!!!

..don't get me wrong, David is David... he is BEAUTIFUL... PERIOD!!!!!!! smile.gif

..but strictly in regards to the 'guyliner', I've been wishin' and wishin' that one of his publicists or agent or SOMEONE who handles him would let him know that maybe it is something he might want to quit doing! ..I know there are surely Cookie fans out there who DO like it... that is cool too!!!!! smile.gif

..I just feel, IMHO, that he is just so breathtakingly beautiful without it.. and that it, even a LITTLE bit of it, somehow... takes a little something away from him..? ..if that is possible..?

I JUST WISH HE WOULD STOP!!!!!!

...and so far it's lookin' like maybe quite a few of his fans might feel the same way..? smile.gif

I prefer him without...sometimes he really overdoes it, methinks. But once in a while it's okay.

I hate it. I know this has been discussed before, and off the top of my head I would guess that 80% didn't like it and 20% did. I was very happy to see that he hasn't been wearing any, or hardly any, for most of his recent appearances except for the AMA awards. I thought he had finally gotten it, but then that AMA awards show, there it was again. Not only do I, as a woman, not like it, but I'd have to say my husband hates it even more than I do. I wonder how other guys feel about it. For me, I love David but I hate the eyeliner. For my husband, the eyeliner just adds to his dislike of David.

I like him both ways. On the tour, it was overdone a bit at times. But, I thought it looked good at the AMAs. Just a little touch looks nice. He doesn't always wear it - usually only when performing - so I think it works.

Not everyone is going to like everything he does, so it's all good. We all have our preferences. smile.gif

I'm fine with whatever he chooses to do. If he asked my opinion, I would say get rid of it because he certainly doesn't need it. But, I don't care, really.

True, it's up to David ultimately what to do with his peepers.

David looks gorgeous either way. It doesn't bother me - I just think of it as part of his rock star persona when he's performing.

It has been overdone a few times in the past, but most of the time it's fine.

At first I didn't like the guyliner, but after a while it started growing on me. I prefer when he doesn't wear heavy guyliner, and it's just applied lightly--or not at all. I understand he probably needs to use some on stage, but offstage, it's like gilding the lily--his eyes are so naturally beautiful without any help. He has naturally dark, thick lashes, and translucent lids that enhance the beauty of his chameleon eyes. When he does wear the guyliner, it must be a high quality waterproof brand, because his tears and sweat don't seem to smudge it or make it run.

I'm definately in the majority - I don't care for it either. Watching him at the AMA's was the first time that I thought the guyliner was well done.

Always something there to remind meee... tongue.gif

Whatever David wants to do is fine...if it were up to me, it'd be none at all or just a little bit, depending on the occasion. The AMA's is about the most I would use, but, again, it's up to him. He looks fine with any amount, I just prefer little to none. tongue.gif

Veeery visible in this one...he's staring right at the camera! tongue.gif

I like him better without! His eyes are beautiful and the guyliner just takes away from his hazel eyes.

I have to say...I'm not a fan of the guyliner. David eyes are gorgeous without it. smile.gif I mean...David can certainly pull it off, but he doesn't need it.
