YAY!! Scott, I just got two tickets, so I guess I'll be seeing you there! I posted on your DCO thread about it as well. I was unsure whether to get two or one as my husband is not sure if he'll go with me, but if he decides no then I am sure one of my word nerd friends will take the other ticket. However, if not, it did say something about being able to modify your number of tickets or even cancel them within a few days before the show. It also says in the fine print on the e-ticket that they oversell so having one is not a guarantee of getting in - yikes! I guess that means I'll be getting there early. Since I'd be coming from the Bay Area, I want to make sure I get in!

omg, if it's another 5 or 6 song set I'm definitely going to be there. I'm okay with them just airing 1 (or possibly 2) songs as long as they can play the rest in their entirety for those at the taping. At GMA, the 'bump' songs were only 30 second clips of Mr. Sensitive and Heroes (if I remember correctly) but I guess that was b'c it was live and wouldn't have been able to fit a whole song into a commercial break.

OMG! I got my tickets and I can't wait! I'm just so excited! This is such a wonderful CHRISTmas present. Does anybody know if they allow camera's? I have a canon 20D and most places don't allow it. But one can only pray! See you all there!

Just to clarify...I have been to Kimmel, but not to one of the outdoor mini concerts. I have been to an indoor mini concert and, I believe, they did approximately 5 songs. I figure, since it is an outdoor concert, it should be about the same. They will probably only air one song and maybe a little of another as the show is ending. I did notice it mentioned on the site that, if there is rain, it will be cancelled. As to whether or not it is rescheduled if that happens, I don't know. I am surprised that they are having an outdoor concert during this time of year. I guess they figure that they wouldn't have enough room for fans in the indoor one as it doesn't hold all that many people. Either that or they just are looking more for that "concert feeling". Also, the indoor stage isn't all that big and there would be very little room for the guys to move.
For those who go, please note that, just because you have a ticket, it does not guarantee you getting in. They usually give out more tickets then room and will allow people in until they are out of room. Also, bear in mind that they do not allow cameras and, as it is an outdoor concert, they will not allow you to check your camera for later. Make sure you read all the information on the printout for the tickets and follow their directions. I'm looking forward to the show and to seeing everyone there. I like the location because parking is easy and safe across the street at the Hollywood and Highland complex. Jeannine |

I am going, but they have a rule of 16 and up (and you need id to prove it). I am not taking any chances and trying to sneak in my 15 year old because I don't want to risk missing it myself.
In case anyone is new to the area and this is your first time in Hollywood you really want to give yourself some extra time and come early. Jimmy Kimmel tapes on Hollywood Blvd, and there are so many tourist spots around that you can catch. The Mann's Chinese Theatre and the Hollywood and Highland complex (this is where you would park and has lots of shops and places to eat) are right across the street~ http://www.hollywoodandhighland.com/ |

I just got 2 tickets for Jimmy Kimmel on the 13th... I am going to be in LA at that time so I thought I would try to go. I know it says you can change the tickets up to 3 days before because I am not sure if I can get anyone to go with me.

Thanks for the info Jeanine. I will be there early (with lawn chair). Thanks especially for letting me know about the camera. I'll try to borrow a little one from somebody in case there are any photo opps after the performance.
