Hey guys. Under Events at DCO, there's been a date added for the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg on 3/28. It's restricted to students only, but if anybody happens to attend or know somene who does, there you go! smile.gif

ETA: This show is actually NOT students-only! See the post from amp_wm below! Tickets went on sale 3/17.

I saw that and got really excited... 'cause I live less than an hour away... BUT then I saw it was for students only sad.gif ... Hubby suggested I sign up for a class (have to admit I thought about it...) oh, well. I don't know any students, but it makes me happy to know he'll be that close by and will come away with another big group of fans - how could they help but love him after they see him live??

I believe this is another date added to the tour. Everyone wants him! biggrin.gif I hope he gets over his sickness and stays well.

It says that this one is students only. Let's see, who do I know that's a student... it's only less than an hour away from me!

I was wondering about this concert. I thought that it had been canceled because I hadn't read any postings about it. I wonder if it's too late to register! JK . I was just in Williamsburg for a concert near W&M and didn't see any signs posted. Too bad it's just for students, I would love to see David in concert before VA BCH.

I heard from a member here that tickets go onsale this Wednesday to students and if any are left over, the public can buy them. Yeah, that's weird that there's nothing posted about it. Hmmmm... I would definitely LOVE to see him at a college concert before Va. Beach, too! biggrin.gif

If tickets don't sell out to students, some will go on sale to the public on Mar 17 according to info from events at the Sadler. The box office has no knowledge of this, but said it could be true. That's my B-D! I know where I'll be that morning if it is true!

Please let us know if that's true! I could definitely scoot over to Williamsburg for a DC concert - I'm going to Radford, but this is close!

I'm going to call them every day or two to keep track. It looks like the Sadler seats around 650. The box office said they had sold some tickets already today. I asked if the public could get tickets earlier than the 17th, she said no. Anyone know any students there? Doesn't sound like they could check student ID's . The price will be $15 for the public. Also, their spring break is coming soon, it could slow down tickets sales some.

If this happens maybe we can tag team to get tickets for others who want to go?

For anybody that's interested - I found the website for buying tickets to this concert.

http://web.wm.edu/ucab/index.php/event/v/271

Right now it says tickets will be sold to students only (and there are tickets still available) but it also had this little blurb that made me hopeful..."Subject to availability, more information on public tickets will be posted soon"

Needless to say - I bookmarked that and will be checking regularly... wink.gif

David Cook will be playing at The Sadler Center at The College of William & Mary on March 28, 2009. Despite several reports to the contrary, tickets will be sold to the general public, starting on Tuesday, March 17th at 10:30AM for $15 each at wm.tix.com.

Please do not attempt to purchase student tickets if you are not a W&M student. It will make us very sad, and we will probably charge you an additional fee at the door.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to reply to this thread, or view the official Facebook event.
