I had figured that his video would fit this storyline...especially with him singing backwards, we knew it would be in reverse...some of the lip syncing wasn't in sync and he seemed somewhat robotic. I love the close ups. And the Come Back to Meeeeeeeeeee near the baggage claim before going up the escalator, yummy.
But he looked awesome and I can't get over the kiss. Watching it over and over. Oh and I love Joey's reverse slo mo hair flip. Next to the kiss, my favorite part. |

Kinda weird since the lip sync timing is off, but over all, interesting! Yes the kiss...over and over and over.
He did a fantastic job here....he was the more believable actor than she was.

Great video overall. I also noticed the lip synic timing is a little off. But I think it works with the video. He looks amazing as always and I agree with the acting thing much better then her, but I'm just a little biase when it comes to David. I love the close up at the end and what can you say about the kiss but yum. I wonder what everyone at LAX thought that day when they were filming this?

I think this is a GREAT video! Definitely fits with the song, thank goodness. He looked absolutely gorgeous. The lip syncing WAS off, but come on...he had to learn the song backwards, there's no way he could make it look perfect. I think he did a great job with it

I am sorry I forgot to mention that even though the lip syncing was a little off it fit the video and the theme. We need to get this video and song to number one everywhere so anywhere you can vote for it like I know you all will do.

Wow I loved it! David in the woods was my favorite part...LOL I don't know why? Maybe the lipsync is off a bit due to how it was uploaded to At&t guess well see when it's on vh1. Only a 1/2 hr till Idol

my absolute FAVE part was this moment, right here:
 it wasn't the kiss (although that's just woah......*giggle*), OR the hair flip (which is awesome)...it was THAT part in the pic because in that moment, you realize how great of an actor he truly is....the emotion in his eyes says it all.... now if you'll excuse me, I have to go faint and fall down a flight of escalators...XD |

I really enjoyed the video (even though it's not my favorite song from the album.)
So...he had to learn the lyrics backwards? How does that work? I'd love to see some behind the scenes stuff. Or like a "making of...." kind of thing. EDIT - Nevermind. Just saw the 'making of' video. Haha. |

it was a great video he looked sexy like he always does. but yeah hes pretty good at act but yeah the lip synching was a little off but it was still good. the storyline of the video was good i thought.

What can I say, other than THUD! I think I agree with the consensus on DCO that he tried to go back in time and fix it since he didn't like the way he actually left her. So time stopped after the kiss, and he got a chance to do it right this time and let her actually go. Loved the backward tear on disturbiagirl. Loved the backwards jumping over the wall.
I didn't see him actually hit the water cooler, I'll have to go watch again and see what made it fall..... |

This video is all kinds of awesome! David looked fantastic and the storyline tied in perfectly with the lyrics. Well done. Didn't David say that he was working with the director on a concept for the video - or am I totally making that up?
 Truthfully, I hadn't thought of it myself (but in my defense the first several times I watched the video I was distracted by the pretty) but the concept of "redoing the goodbye" makes a lot of sense.

W.O.W!!! Damn that man is hot as Hades!!! Or is that just me after watching that video 3x?!?!
So who is the Taylor-Swift-lookin' chick? And how did she luck out to get this gig! That kiss...ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! So ok, I watched the Access Hollywood segment which said nothing about the backward singing so I must have missed that posted elsewhere? I got the impression that he's just singing the song normally (in a forward fashion) and that he's walking normally (in a forward fashion) but then they reversed the video to make it all happen backwards. Right?? But then again his lips wouldn't sync with the forward music if the video was backwards but the song was still forward. WTF?!?!?! OK I'm all confused! Did you guys see the movie 'Rocker' starring Raine from The Office? Remember the scene when this crazy director says that he wants the band to sing backwards so that he can then reverse the tape and make it forward and how that would be really cool? Yeah, that's what this reminds me of, lol!!! So what is cool about this video is that it follows up the Idol Season 8 promo with David on stage, then going backwards all the way to him lying down on the bed with his hands behind his head (showing off his new tattoo)! Was that the same director as the video I wonder? Or was that an intentional follow-through? I have to say that it kind of ruined it for me on Idol tonight knowing that David was pre-recorded. And who were those apathetic dorks in the audience? Why didn't they call us, his real fans, to participate, ha! And what was with them only showing David and Kyle? Don't Andy, Joey and Neal deserve some love too? But I have to say David looked fabulous and sounded great. Nice touch that they presented him with the platinum record. Those 'Idol newbies' must've been looking up to David like he was an Idol Rock God. Yep!!
