David Cook will take part in Good Morning America's Summer Concert Series on August 7th, appearing with this year's American Idol finalists, Adam Lambert and Kris Allen, in New York City's Central Park!

Good Morning America airs live from 7 to 9AM EST, with concert performances usually starting around 8:30AM. And for those wishing to attend the concert IN PERSON, entry is FREE and takes place on a first-come, first-served basis, beginning at 6AM on the day of show.





Not sure if this was posted somewhere already, I didn't find a thread for it. David is scheduled to perform at the GMA concert series on August 7th, along with Kris Allen and Adam Lambert. I'm not sure but I think the performances are usually televised at 8:30 a.m. on Good Morning America.

Interesting! I am going to the Musikfest show Aug 3 and then will be hanging in the PA/NJ area for a few days. Maybe I should try to go to the GMA show. Has anyone done that before?

Hey kids!

I am thinking of flying to NYC for this! I am a diehard David fan and a huge Adam fan as well. Seeing them together in my favorite city in the world would be awesome. I am sure it will be crowded, crazy and short, I think the experience would be worth the trip. Anyone else thinking of going from out of state?

You have to get to the park really early in the morning -- maybe 6am or earlier. It is unclear at this time whether David will be singing -- I've heard rumors -- strictly rumors, no facts -- that he may only be there to "pass the torch" -- and even if he does sing, it may only be one or two songs. The show is going to be geared to the newbies. Apparently Jordin Sparks was on last year when the Davids were on and did not sing.

Please guys, somebody answer, I need to know if David is at least performing 1 song??? I'm traveling for work and I can only go to the Good Morning America concert, and I would be very very very sad if he is not going to sing sad.gif

its david, adam lambert, and kris allen.. idk how many songs theyll; sing but.. they prob are all gunna sing.. usually the concert series consists of 4 songs... im pretty sure david will sing

I was watching Kelly Clarkson's performance on Good Morning America yesterday, which was AWESOME, you should all check it out online. They mentioned that David is performing next week along with Kris Allen and Adam Lambert. I love Kris too so I've already got it on my DVR!

I just received an email from GMA that I was invited to be an audience member and I have to meet up that morning with the Audience Coordinator in front of the bleachers. I sent in for tickets right after they announced David was going to perform in their concert series. They said to include a photo and a story about yourself & I told them about my encounter with David on my birthday last year.

She started the email saying all the August tickets were gone sad.gif, to please join us in Central Park, etc....
I was kind of sad until I read the last part of the email that said to print out and bring this email with me! blink.gif
"Please confirm your attendenance in advance by sending me an email with my name, cell, etc..." laugh.gif

Did anyone else get this? I don't want to get too excited in case it's nothing, but it's hard not to!
