I might just have to go... I wish it gave more information. Usually you have to line up before hand and get a wristband to come back, but it says nothing about that... or they take only the first 500 people kind of thing. Maybe more info will be posted on the site...

Our plane lands at noon that day... I hope we aren't too late. We bought our tickets before we knew about this, otherwise we probably would've flown up Tuesday.

ohmygod. best night of my intire life.

so i went into the place and there were already people lined up. so i got in line and got a wristband. so then i was like 'how many people get to meet him' and hes like '200'. so i counted and i was #47. and i got there at like 12.00. so i went up to the front to ask the first person what time they got there. they said 8 am.

after a long time of waiting, 4.00 came around. still no david. then he got there at about 4.30.

so when he got there...we were like on the upper floor and we had to take an escalator down to meet him. so on the way down i was crying hysterically and holding up a poster. so down there there was a lot of people taking pics frm like magazines and newspapers and they were all like 'WE HAVE TO GET A PICTURE OF YOU!' so they took pics of me. then i when i went up to david i was hysterical like i could hardly talk so i put the poster on the table for him to sign. and when i walked over he saw me crying so he was like 'awwwe' and GAVE ME A HUG ! i didnt get a chance to smell him, but i did notice he was the softest thing i have ever touched. and i was like 'i love you !' and he was like 'thank you' so he signed his name then because i was crying he put 'cheer up charlie' like from charlie brown. and then my mom is like 'can she get another hug because i didnt get a picture?' lol so hes like 'ohkay shure' and so i got ANOTHER HUG ! and after that i took out presents. yes i got him presents lol. so i took out the first one. it was a dog toy and treats for dublin. so inbetween tears i was like 'this is for dublin' and he is like 'oh thank you so much im shure he'll love it.' then i took out his, three crossword puzzle books. and im like 'this is for you' and he is like 'these will keep me buisy! thank you' so then i stepped to the side. then my mom got an autograph too. then we left and the reporter people were like 'let me get another picture' so, while crying hysterically, they took pictures with my signed poster. and then one guy with a video camera was like 'so how did it go?' and i was like 'great ! i love you david !' then hes like 'do you like sketchers?' and im like 'i love sketchers !' lmfao. then one last lady got a pic of me and was like 'whats your name?' so i told her and im not shure what that was for...maybe for promotion...but still very good.

also, andrew was there. so when i walked up im thinking to myself like ohh theres andrew ! but i dont know why, i didnt say hello to him...

overall, best night of my life. highlight of my life. all my dreams and wishes came true. every 11:11, birthday, star; i wished to meet david cook. finally i did.

im not shure if anyone was just watching the channel 5 10.00 news but on there they have david cook talking about paula abdoul leaving american idol. they did it right there where he was signing. the clip that they showed of him giving autographs was the kids RIGHT after me. the very next people lol. i guess they just didnt use mine because it would attract too much attention.

I have to agree with the original poster----it was the most AMAZING day ever!! Me and my group arrived at about 2:00ish and there were plenty of people on line. We also got a bracelet---ours were blue, I think the people towards the front of the line had orange. It was supposed to start at 4pm, but I don't think they began letting people downstairs until almost 5pm. It was soooo worth the wait though smile.gif He took his time with every person, such a sweetheart! Unfortunately I didn't get a good pic of him(my hands were shaking and they came out blurry LOL) but I actually was able to pull myself together and say everything I wanted to say---I'm so proud of myself smile.gif) I shook his hand at first(so very soft), I also gave him a picture of the candle I lit for Adam at this year's Relay For Life in Brooklyn---he immediately held it up to Andrew and said "Look at this..." Andrew gave a thumbs up and they said Thank You. Since DC already signed my CD at the Hard Rock Cafe in Nov., I asked him to sign my New York State Idol Stamps of him---then --- I can't believe I actually mustered up the nerve to ask him for a hug!!! He was so sweet and gentle and smelled really good too smile.gif I told him as I was leaving " I'll see you tomorrow night!" to which he replied "I'll be there!!" LOL My friend was behind me with her neice-they gave him a teddy bear and an invitation to the neice's birthday party. David had the little girl come around the table to where he was sitting and gave her a hug and said Happy Birthday!(Security told him he's not supposed to do that---he told them "I want to!" That's telling 'em David!!)) He was in such high spirits and look so rested---he really went above and beyond for his fans today-as he usually does. I wonder if he knows how much we appreciate it...
Two of my co-workers came to JCPenney after work-arrived at about 5:30pm. I stood back on line with them when I was done-hoping they would get to meet him too, but at some point after 7pm they asked everyone to leave because it was over.

Thanks for listening to me ramble on---it was an awesome experience---one I'll never forget biggrin.gif

I'm really happy for everyone who got a good experience with Dave today. Me too!

The envelope is for the card from the Jersey Girls I've been carrying around all week trying to get to him. Saturday at Foxwoods, we managed to get ourselves plopped right at the stage, so I wrote on the envelope "Will trade Springsteen tix for a pic." He read the sign, shrugged, and tossed me a pic. But he left the stage before I could hand him the card.

So tonight when I got up to him I handed him the card with the writing on it, and held up a second envelope with an extra pair of Springsteen tickets peeking through the envelope window. I was about 80% sure he wouldn't take them, but totally prepared to give (or sell) them to him if he wanted them. So when he saw the envelope his eyes lit up and he gave that wonderful belly laugh of his, and when the people around him asked what's up, he told the story of how I had held up the sign at the concert the other night, and he thought I was BS'ing him but he figured what the hell and gave me the pic, and now I really did have tickets for him. He held the envelope in his hand for a while, just saying like oh man, you could see he really really wanted to take them. His manager (I think) was telling him, you can't take those tickets, and again he looked like he was struggling to decide. I said "you can buy them...?" thinking maybe the amount was the problem. Finally he held up the envelope and looked me straight in the eye and said "you know what I want you to do with these? Give them to someone who has never seen a Springsteen concert before, can you do that?" Yes Dave, whatever you want!!! Then I took the envelope back.

Then I gave him my DWF pass to sign (Finally me and Lisa got ours signed!!!) and the picture of him and my daughter at the M&G in Pemberton -- he looked and said "Oh yeah!" like he maybe recognized her.

So then the skechers folks wanted a picture with him and the card (I think I may have asked for a picture, I'm not sure I remember exactly right anymore) so I leaned over and he held up the card and the picture, and someone told me to hold up the envelope with the tickets, which I did. I somehow had the presence of mind to ask someone on the staff if they could take a picture with my camera, which I posted above. I have the photographer's card, hopefully I can get a copy of her picture, too.

Then the security was starting to move us along, and I said, so are you going, and he said something like I'll get there, and I said what date, and he didn't answer, so then I said, I expect to see you on stage and he chuckled and I left.

I promised the girl behind me I'd take her picture, so the usher let me stay on the side for a few more minutes. She was teasing me and holding may arm because I was shaking so much I couldn't get a clear picture (sorry!), then I walked out and met up with my friends. After a few minutes I realized I still had the card in my hand (who knows how that happened) so I went back and asked that same usher if she could give Dave the card, I had walked out with it by mistake, and she was nice and brought it back inside and then told me she gave it to him.

Then to top off the entire day, three different people texted me that Dave and Andrew were having dinner with Springsteen's guitarist (probably Steve Van Zandt, he's become friends with him). So how much you want to bet that Dave is telling Steve the story of the crazy fan who offered him Boss tickets LOL!!!!

Here are the rest of the pictures I took:

RACHEL!!! I saw you after the show in Foxwoods with your card and envelope and I was going to ask you if you ever gave it to him! You have had quite a week and all of your pictures are so awesome! I am so glad you went today! I was wondering if any of the Jersey Girls were going to be there! Were Dana and her mom Diana there too?

Real Name: Alex

Lol, I'm such a Dork. He asked my name and I said "Alex" and he goes "..A-L-E-X" I guess to make sure it wasn't Alice and I say "...as in Rodriguez...but not" and he starts laughing and goes "..ah, so..without the steroids" and I look him dead and the eyes and point and start yelling "Shut up..you know what..don't give me that!!" and he's in hysterics at this point.. and I'm like "what..wait a sec..it doesn't look like I could be on steroids like him? I mean..look at my arms?" and I flex my muscles and he's smiling and I stop and laugh, and he's like "no...wait..please do that again.." And I just look at him like he's got to be joking, and then he flexes his arms, so I do it again and he's smiling and goes "...wow..you do have some great definition there..excellent...but imagine what they'd look like if you actually were on the juice.." and I just nod and go "mmm....very true..." and we're both laughing and a woman from JC Penneys comes over and gets all pissy I'm holding the line up, and before I said anything he looks at her and goes "I'm so sorry, we were just talking!" So I look back at him and thank him and say I guess thats my cue and he gives a little sigh.. so I shook his hand and told him I'd see him tomorrow.

I left and I'm like "...wtf did I just do.."
