David did an interview with the Pechanga Casino & Resort today and it showed a shot of his tattoo.

Interview here.

I took some screen shots of it to get a glimpse of the tattoo!

It is believed to be the last verse of the poem THE DASH (I love that btw!) by Linda Ellis. Read it and decide for yourselves! laugh.gif

So when your eulogy is being read
With your life's actions to rehash
Would you be proud of the things they say
About how you spent your dash?

I heard that it's the last stanza of the poem The Dash, which he read at Adam's funeral. Beautiful poem.

I'm not so sure I like this tattoo... I like his skin! And it's really big. Not too many more, please, David...

Noo00 noooo!!!!!=O...Im sorry I love David to pecies but this is totally not working for me! anywhere but the arm!!
noo00OO a sleeve!?....some tatoos r okay..preferably ones that are a hidden but this is going to far I think!....I seriosuly hope he gets no more than this one or at least keep them smaller/hidden!!... this is just my opinion I know Im not one to say what he can do ... I guess Ill have to get used to it :\

I LOVE the new haircut, clothes and new years resultions...or what ever u call it ,though!!!! ;D <3...and the adorable laugh ahahahha! <3 =)

------------------------------------------

I didnt really know what it meant ( didnt really "read" it, if u know what I mean) and I didnt realize that it was for his brother :S I take back most of what I said it is a bit big and on the arm but it does have great value and like it much more =) as long as its not just random. It has great sentimental value, and I LOOVE that about it =) but I agree I hope he doesnt go as crazy as neal and just get randoms smile.gif

Not a fan of it either - I love tattoos and have several but I think some are better left hidden. Just my opinion, please don't attack me!

Here is, without a doubt, the clearest pic of the tattoo yet! (I do not know who to credit, I'm sorry)

It is the last verse of the poem THE DASH as shown in the original post.

I actually LOVE it. First time I've ever seen a tat on anyone I've loved from the second I saw it. Don't know why. I think it's very sexy on him.

I don't like the full sleeves idea, though...thats going way to far.

My personal taste is that I love all the tattoos, but then I have some rather large tats on my arms.

We do need to remember to respect his decisions though. So far, there has been no issues, but please keep the opinions open and non-bashing. David, though we feel we know him personally, is a stranger to most of us and it's rude to 'tell' him how to decorate his body.

I wouldn't want a stranger to tell me I was fat or ugly or fashion lacking, for example. wink.gif

You are so right. I love his taste in tats and they mean something to him. He just doesn't put just any tats on himself just to be mindlessly doing it with no rhyme or reason to it. Plus this poem means so much to him that he read this for Adam because he is proud of his brothers dash. I think he is brave to put something like that on himself for all to see. After all it is a statement of how people should live their lives and how he tries to live his life. How could I be disapointed with this tat. Of all the tats David has, this one to me most represents David and who he is. And he is someone I love and respect.

I love the sentiment David has behind his tattoos. I just don't want him to go all-out like Neal. His skin is too beautiful. smile.gif

Wow, I think it's beautiful. I was always a fan of words as tattoos, so I'm glad he got one. The meaning for it is great, too. It is big, but I think it fits him well.
