Yeah, Jeannine, the statement about there only being two shows in February disappointed me... Though I'm still holding on the that little hope that they come to the east coast sometime, hopefully soon... and that even smaller hope that they come relatively close to save me the traveling money.

Just keep the faith, Olivia. There was a mention of NYC at one point. You never know, though. I have a feeling this MWK thing is going to be short and sweet. Go if you can. Jeannine |

Jeannine I'm trying my best. I wish I could go, but there's no way I could make it out to Tulsa, miss the school, pay for the plane tickets, hotel, food, etc. Sucks being a teenager sometimes... a lot of the times. |

I'm still hoping for a NYC show. I don't see this coming off as organized at all, LOL. I hear there is a stream for Tulsa, so make sure you listen in.
My fingers are crossed for more shows. I may just end up with cramped fingers for my work, however. You never know. I say don't get your hopes up and then anything good is gravy. Jeannine |

I'm so sad that there aren't any more shows scheduled! I've been waiting FOREVER for there to be an MWK show and my mom promised me we could go..until we found out that the Flytrap is now an 18 an over venue. Being 17 suddenly sucks. A lot.

Hard to imagine them performing in a place under 18. I'm sorry. Just have to wait and see, though.

I think a lot of places, even 18+ places, you can get in to if you're with a parent. At least that's how it is in the Carolinas.
And I'll definitely be listening to the live stream! I'll take whatever I can get my hands on, for now. |

I'll take whatever I can get my hands on, for now. That's what I thought, so my mom called to ask. They said that they are in the process of getting their all ages status back (the venue was all ages just last year), but until it's confirmed, there's nothing they can do. |

I have been to The Flytrap and can't imagine it or any place like it being appropriate for someone under 18. I'm glad I don't have kids that age anymore and don't have to worry about it.

Jeannine Well, I'm only 15, and I've been to shows that are 18 and up, with people drinking and dancing and whatnot, but there's no way I could've gotten into anything I shouldn't. I'm always with friends, and my dad's in the back, and we're able to enjoy the show perfectly fine. I don't see why someone under 18 shouldn't be allowed when accompanied by an adult, as long as you're responsible enough to stay out of trouble. But maybe I'm just sulking... |

You make a good point, Olivia. I guess if I was there with my kid, I would make sure nothing would happen. I say that people under 18 accompianed by an adult should have no problem. However, I realize that the venues have to be very careful so as not to get sued. Difficult call. The Flytrap is a bar with a stage and nothing more. Certainly not glamorous. I have never seen dancing there. Just drinking and listening to music. I would think it would be boring for the most part to most. Jeannine |

My mom and I went to the Flytrap last December to see To Have Heroes and had an awesome time. It was something fun to do just the two of us, and she was there..not that I would have gotten into trouble anyway. I'm not really the party type. I think that under 18 with an adult should be okay, but unfortunately they probably won't be back to all ages before the show.

I wish you guys were able to go to this/these or future shows
I remember wanting to go to shows that were 18 or 21+ but couldn't, it sucked. I had no idea you guys are so young, makes me feel so old at 26. |

^ Naw, you're not old. I'm one of the youngest active posters on the forum.
And yeah, I'm definitely not the party, dancing, whatever type, either. I go to shows for the music. So it's disappointing when I have to go with a parent. I wouldn't get into anything if my dad wasn't there, but sometimes it's hard convincing him to come. |

I know my parents would never have remotely entertained the thought of going. If any of you have a parent willing to take you to a show, you are very lucky. In order to become an all ages venue, I would think that insurance requirements would probably have to change, although I really don't know and am guessing. Jeannine |

I am lucky that my mom likes to go with me, but we like the same music, so we can usually agree on what we want to go to. She sees it as more of an opportunity to hang out just the two of us, rather than feeling obligated to go just because she promised. |

We enjoy the same music and have good times going places once in a while when she is able to have a couple of days off from work. We have a lot of laughs. She hasn't come to The Flytrap although she did meet Andy here in Southern California at one of his THH shows here. I'm hoping that MWK will consider playing here so that she can come and enjoy the music. I would love for her to meet Neal. I think she would like him. Jeannine |
