I didn't really hit the pole that hard. It had been snowing quite hard and the plows hadn't really come out at that point. I was doing about 35 and the car in front of me started to brake, so I started. Before you know it, I was swerving into oncoming traffic. Luckily, cars were far enough back. I started turning my wheel to the other side and before you know it I was in the pole. Once I started swerving, I took my foot off the brake. I remember my Dad telling me that if you're swerving, take your foot off the brake. Though it didn't seem like I was going that fast, as soon as I hit the pole, both of my airbags deployed. I wasn't really sore the next day all. The only parts that were sore were where the seat belt had been and my right forearm. Not sure what I hit the forearm on, but at that point it didn't really matter...all I knew is that I was all right. The most damage and where most of the money would've gone was on the inside. With both airbags deploying (that's a few grand they had said there), both seat belts would've had to be realigned, and the dashboard would've had to been replaced...it was a total loss. The front end underneath was bent too. The damage cost was more than the actual cost of the car. Luckily, I was able to ride in with my parents, because I sort of work with them and they let me borrow the car if I had to work at Kohl's at night. I guess with them having 2 vehicles it helps too. I ended up buying a car on New Year's Eve. That was really only one of the days I had off of both jobs. I ended up purchasing a 2008 Subaru Imprezza...hatchback. I was able to put $4500 on the down payment. I got just over $4700 from my car. I was quite surprised by how much I got back. I thought I was only going to get about $1500. They said they go around the town(s) and look at other Malibu's and somehow from there figure how much it's worth. They figured $6600. Then, they took my deductible and subtracted that...so now I was at $6100. Finally, what I had left to pay on the car they subtracted that...I only had about $1500 left. Needless to say I was pretty content with the amount of money I got for it.

Completely forgot about the re-run of the special. Oh well...youtube or their site should probably have something. There's an Invitation Only I believe that's on tonight with Rascal Flatts. It's on HD channel...1015. May have to DVR it. Yes, Jay ended up getting an early Christmas gift...his wife had the baby early. Another little girl. Jeez, Joe Don is the only one that has a boy...little Jagger is going to love being the only boy wink.gif Actually, Joe Don has 2 kids...Jagger who I believe is 2 and they had a little girl early last year...Raquel I believe is the name. Finally, Gary only has 2 girls...I believe it's Brittany and Brooklyn.

Thanks...about the pictures.

It can be a scary thing out there when it comes to holiday shopping. I was very, very proud of myself...I didn't go to the mall at all for any of the Christmas gifts. I could only imagine how crazy it was. I had to open at Kohl's on Christmas Eve and there were a few people as we opened, but it got pretty busy around 7:30ish and then it was just non-stop around 8am. There was one guy that said it's a tradition for him to go out on Christmas Eve and do his shopping. More power to you man. Then, he said he still had to go to the mall. Wonder how he made out? Hope the mall wasn't too bad when you went.

Well, depending how you look at it, I can either say Happy Belated Birthday or Happy Early Birthday wink.gif That was a pretty good show...I was pleasantly surprised by a few of the performers.

I'm glad to hear you got another car and some money for the other one. That little accident sounded a bit scary. I guess that snow is pretty dangerous, be careful out there.

Wow, no mall for you during Christmas...congrats. I don't even enjoy the mall on a normal day let alone the holidays. I can't believe ppl who shop on Christmas Eve. They must be very calm people who don't get bothered at all. I don't even like to be out there the week of Christmas.

Seems like Christmas was such a long time ago.

I think I saw that the invitation only was on but forgot to watch. I'm sure it'll be on again and again. I love to watch those kinda specials. I saw one with The Band Perry not to long ago and it was rather interesting. You always seem to get a sense of the artists personality and character when they're not singing. Gotta love those music channels.

Well that it the earliest/latest birthday greeting I've ever received lol, thanks. I will agree, that show was pretty good. I thought it was going to be real cheesy but it wasn't so bad after all.

Christmas was just 31-days ago and I can't believe it's already nearing the end of January. Time needs to slow down and it can happen at anytime.

Woohoo...I get to pick up my Rascal Flatts' tickets soon. I wonder where I'm sitting. All I know is that it's going to be a great show. More picture taking time biggrin.gif

The accident was a bit scary. I'm just glad that I was all right and I didn't have to go to the hospital or anything. I usually am pretty careful. I drive where I'm comfortable at and let all the idiots fly by me. It was just that night, I hit a patch, there was a lot of ice underneath, and I couldn't get my car back under control. Yea, the snow can do wonders. My Dad came and got me and as we were driving home I saw a car in a ditch. It's not fun to drive in that's for sure, but I still live here and I deal with it. I guess I would rather deal with the snow than live down in Florida or someplace that has tornadoes.

I'm not really a fan of The Band Perry. Their song, 'If I Die Young' is always on and I'm not digging the lead singer's voice. However, things can change. I may not like their songs now, but I could always like their future songs. It has happened. Oh well, it's not like you're going to like every artist in the music business.

I know, it's almost February ohmy.gif . You guys have had snow forever haven't you? That's gotta get old real quick. We've got fog over here and it's so depressing.

When are you seeing Rascal Flatts? They have so many hits, I wonder if they'll do them all. I wonder if they'll come back here cause I don't think they've been over here in a few years. I believe that was when Taylor Swift opened for them so that's been a while.

I got The Band Perry's album for Christmas but I've only skimmed through it so I can't tell ya if it's good or not. I actually love "IIDY" and her voice laugh.gif .

Have you seen Jason Aldean live? I want to see him real bad. I just feel that he needs to throw on a baseball hat and bust out an electric guitar cause I feel that he's got it in him to just go for it. It would be nice instead of him playing the acoustic all the time.

And now it's half way through February. My Dad got the Band Perry for Christmas too. He seems to enjoy it...haven't really heard him say either way.

I see Rascal Flatts next week actually. Thursday, the 24th is when they play. They do have a lot of hits. The last time I saw them I don't think they sang I'm Movin' On; which is strange, because that was the song that just catapulted them into super stardom. That song took on a life of it's own and became bigger then them. I think they may leave out a hit or two. Sometimes they'll combine songs together...do a run...where each song may only be a minute to a minute in a half and then they'll go into the next one. Yea, that has been awhile since they've been where you are. If it was really when Swift opened, then you're looking at, at least 4-years. I swear they like NY, because they were just at Darien Lake back in September and now they're back in Rochester. They seem to play in the Rochester/Buffalo/Syracuse area twice a year.

I have seen Jason Aldean live. It was back when he first started out and he was opening for Rascal Flatts. It was back in 2005...wow. It was when Aldean and Keith Anderson were starting out and every other show or so they would open the show. Then, Blake Shelton came on and did his thing and finally Rascal Flatts. Aldean was pretty good. I haven't seen him since then though. As far as the acoustic guitar goes...maybe he's more comfortable playing it. He does have a band and I'm sure one of them plays the electric guitar. I don't know. However, it would be interesting to see if and how well he can play it.

Yup, it does seem like we've had snow forever. However, the last few days have been nice. It hit 40 yesterday, but was extremely windy...30-40 mph. Today it dropped back into the 20's, but suppose to be in the 40's for another couple of days. I'm ready for this snow to just go away and for spring to come. I may not want my hockey to go end in a couple of months, but I'm sick of the snow and cold.

I think I'd be real depressed in all that snow. I hate both fall and winter because of the drabby looking days. I do like the cold though, I'd love to be able to experience the 20's. I'm never able to wear a jacket cause to me 50 degrees just isnt cold enough for one. I think maybe one a few years ago it got down to 19 and that was fun! I was noticing some of the trees starting to bud so spring is getting closer.

Your a hockey fan eh, who do u like? I don't really follow it but have been to a couple of minor league (if that's what you call it, probably not) games and did enjoy them.

I can't believe RF didn't sing I'm moving on at your last show, I love that one. I guess you can't do them all right. It really sucks though if you get your hopes up for your fav and they don't so it. Your very lucky to be able to see your favorite band a couple times a year. It must be nice to live in a popular area where that happens.

Of course you've seen Jason Aldean lol. I like when artist bring a couple or more openers with them. Then you can always say you got to see them when they first started out. As far as the guitar thing you could be right with the comfort level. He's just so rock n' roll country and I love his sound. Love the duet with Kelly Clarkson too.

Have a good time at the show this week. Be ready with your review smile.gif

My review...AMAZING biggrin.gif They're always amazing...they always put on a fantastic show. Plus, being in the 4th row...makes everything better smile.gif During their set I was thinking, they seem to be getting better with age. It's not like they stunk before or anything, but they just sounded really, really well. I believe the show was almost sold out. I think it sold out and they added more seats. I think I was hearing that somewheres.

Anyhow...missed the first song from Chris Young. Stupid traffic. I usually go another way, but for some reason I went the way where traffic was coming from 3 different spots. Oh well. Chris Young did a good job. I think it's a little hard to be the opener, opener when you have just one album under your belt and you're trying to get the crowd going; especially when you know they're here to see the main act. Either way...I liked him.

Luke Bryan has no butt! He wore some tight pants, but the guy doesn't have an ***. He's got some nice size arms, but dude has to work on getting a little junk in the trunk wink.gif He was great...I enjoyed his set. He was trying to dance. Dude needs to stick to singing. He has a few moves, but when he says 'wash' like 'warsh' (how he says it in his one song 'Rain is a Good Thing), he shouldn't quit his day job. It was entertaining though...I'll give him that. With a few more albums under his belt, I can see him being a decent headliner. He can sing, play guitar and entertain the crowd and hold their attention. He can be good.

Rascal Flatts were Rascal Flatts. Can't say anything bad about them. The only down side was I was moving from side to side, because I had some really tall dude in front of me. However, there were a couple of empty seats next to me, so it made it a little easier. Sometimes it sucks being only 5'2". They sang "I'm Movin' On" this time. They have so many hits, it's probably a little tough to sing all of them. Joe Don looked good...he always does. Gary looked like he lost some weight. However, for the encore he came out with a throwback jersey that the Amerks (AHL hockey team...minor league) wear and it made him look heavier. Jay was funny...as usual. He knows how to make the audience laugh. If Jay and Allison's daughter is anything like Jay...Allison definitely is going to have her hands full wink.gif I'm going to have to put the pictures up on FlickR and give you the link if you want to view the pictures.

I think upstate NY is pretty popular for country. Tim McGraw is coming back to Darien Lake, along with Rascal Flatts and Toby Keith. I know Sugarland and Brad Paisley are coming to Darien Lake too. Could care less about Sugarland. They're doing this special called 'Mega Ticket', where you can buy tickets for all 5 shows, sit in the same seat, and save money by purchasing it. I guess upstate NY loves their country music.

I like the Buffalo Sabres. You're right with the minor league. They call them the AHL too. Sometimes they're called the farm team too, because they're affiliated with a NHL team. Yea, games are enjoyable...especially if the team you're seeing is winning. I don't know what the minor team looks like out by you, but the one out here looks slow compared to the NHL. There is such a difference from watching a NHL game compared to an AHL game.

I'll agree with Rascal Flatts getting better with age. I definitely enjoy them more now then I did back then. You had 4th row seats O_o wow. That just makes the show 100% better than it already is. Why must you always always always have a giant in front of you at concerts? It never fails, sometimes I hate the floor cause of that.

I like Chris Young too. I don't think he's got the greatest songs but he does have a good voice so it makes up for it. That's funny what you said about Luke Bryan being a**less. I really like him, he does seem like he's quite the entertainer. He looks like he's funny. I love his song "Do I". The Band Perry and Luke are opening for Tim McGraw and they are coming here. I'd love to see Luke and The Band Perry but not so much Tim so I don't know if I'd be willing to buy a ticket for that.

I bought my ticket for Keith Urban and it's just really sad cause the show's not until October! Those tickets should've not gone on sale until a few months from now. It's like wasting money when you have to wait practically a whole year. The 2 times I've seen him I've been real close and now the seats I got are only decent angry.gif . Oh well.

I can't imagine how much that "mega ticket" would cost even though it'd be cheaper. That would be awesome though if you got a good seat.

I would love to see your pics if you upload them smile.gif

Oh and the hockey games I've been to were a bit slow too. I didn't think they were a very good team.

Hey. Sorry I haven't given you the link or anything to see the pictures from the Rascal Flatts concert all the way back from February. Things have been a little bit crazy.

Rascal Flatts concert

Tim McGraw actually does a good job. He came here last summer and at the last minute myself along with a friend and her family went to go see him. Love & Theft and Lady A opened for him. We got lawn seats, because that was all that was left. I will say that the place was crowded! My friend who has a daughter couldn't even bring in a stroller, because the guy said it was sold out. All of us took turns holding her. He didn't really change up any of his songs, like some artists do, but it didn't bother me any. Pretty much what you hear on the radio, is what you'll hear live. Can't really beat that. I wouldn't mind seeing Luke again, but not really a fan of The Band Perry.

I bet Keith Urban puts on one heck of a show. I wouldn't mind seeing him in concert either. Yea that does suck you had to buy the tickets so ahead in advance, but I bet you it'll be worth it.

Enjoy the pics! Sorry there's so many...I just take picture after picture and I don't realize how much I take until I get home and upload them all.

Whoa, that is A LOT of pictures. Thanks for uploading them. I've had some computer troubles so I haven't been here in a while so that was nice of you to still do that..... a year later j/k.

I saw the show your talking about with Tim. I went so I could see L&T and L.A, love them. I didn't end up going to this years show though, I think it was last week in fact. I have heard a rumor of The Band Perry opening for Keith at the show I'm going to so I really hope it's true but knowing my luck it wont smile.gif

Good to hear from you smile.gif
