I always made fun of him that he sounded like Creed and he told me my band sounded like Puddle of Mudd so it was a love hate relationship!

Always great to hear from u!

Well, he did sound like Creed in some of the Axium stuff...though I honestly believe he was aiming for an Eddie Vedder edge.

Daughtry would be great cuz Karen keeps telling me how great a show he puts on and I've never gotten out to one. Or Cavo wink.gif

I'd also love to see Gavin DeGraw... they did a show together here in Orlando and I really liked his set. Also was down this way with Collective Soul and GRO. He's entertaining even if you don't know any of his songs and has been working on new material, but I don't know if he's got anything new recorded at this time.

We Are The Fallen. I like their album and the potential for Carly to join the guys on stage at some point is always tantalizing.

To me, nothing was better than the show at The Music Box in Hollywood when both Ryan Star and Crash Kings were on as openers. That was the ultimate. Crash Kings is my very favorite band. I certainly wouldn't complain to have them back on the next tour.

Would LOVE a David/Daughtry show!! or David/Cavo= hell yeah, where do I buy my tickets? biggrin.gif lol

We Are The Fallen would be good too. I just picked up the cd since I'm seeing them with Saving Abel next month and I like that too, & good point about the two of them singing together wink.gif

And just my opinion, but as much as I liked who he had opening last tour, I personally would like to be introduced to some more good new music. He did a good job last year smile.gif

Agreed... that was definitely a fun aspect to the last tour. I ended up really liking Ryan, NeedtoBreathe, and GRO... and The Script. I hadn't heard of any of them before watching them open for David. The pranks with GRO were priceless!

Of course, MWK would be a great opener, too! smile.gif

I didn't get to see Crash Kings this time around, yet hear really good things about their shows.

They are amazing. Their songs are quite unique and they possess a huge amount of on stage energy. Hard to believe that 3 guys can produce that great a sound. If they ever come to your area, make sure you go see them.

I would like to David and Sevendust. I would go to every show they put on in the US and overseas. He might like that too since he's a Sevendust fan.

Strung Out would be cool, maybe even Atreyu. Might be a bit heavy but they're good.

Maybe a local band from each city they stop in would be kind of a cool idea.

I would enjoy that. I thought that all of the choices last tour were good ones. I remember the days when I would be looking at my watch and praying for the opening set to please end. Not so on David's last tour. Plenty of great talent out there to enjoy.

Haven't heard of Strung Out..but I have seen Atreyu and liked them. Sevendust started following me on twitter for whatever reason. Don't know if I would know any of their songs.

The band from each city is something I had given a thought. Especially after Hanson had that contest where the public voted on who they liked best- and Phil Marshall won for Tulsa smile.gif

That was a really cool idea (and yay for Phil!), but with a different opener each night, we wouldn't get to know the openers like we did this past tour. And there wouldn't be a chance of pranks or anything. I'd miss that.

Maybe David should do a battle of the bands for the west cost, Midwest, and east cost. The winner of each will ge to tour with him in the region that they won and it would be like that bands mini tour to get their names out. What do you guys think?

I like this idea smile.gif I remember Needtobreathe opening for David here, and expecting them the following week in Indy and got GRO. I liked GRO, just kinda lost some of the excitement at first when I realized it wasn't NTB.

Another idea I have is to have bands send in a live video demo or single and the top 2 get to tour with him for the whole thing.

That would be easier for him to put together. Can also do the regional idea with submissions.

LOVE the thought of having local bands open for him! What a great idea!

So much talent out there, it's hard to get a grip on them all. Great way to pay it forward!
