I remember hearing a story awhile ago that a woman went to one of Davids concerts thinking it was Dane Cook... I almost did the opposite My brother was listening to the radio and heard "David Cook premforming in vancouver nov 29th"...when really it was Dane. When he told me he got me all excited and I was making a plan of attack on how to get tickets asap. I turned on the radio again hoping to hear the add again and I heard "Cook preforming in vancouver nov 29th"...missed the Dane.. I got supppper excited...but then started questioning why he was coming here, wouldnt he come here after the realese of the new one ect...I searched it on the computer and it was "Dane Cook"  to make it worse my cousins facebook status was "going to see Dane Cook Nov 29th  "...oooppps..Has this happened to anyone else..? I think Dane should have to change his name

I hardly ever listen to the radio, so there isn't any confusion for me, I guess. I have a friend, who is a Cook fan, who won tickets to Dane Cook. He knew it was Dane Cook, but we still found the situation somewhat amusing, LOL.

A lot of people don't know who David Cook is. Really, not everyone on this earth watches American Idol. He is not that big of a hit on the radio that people immediately know who he is. In time, that could change if he gets a huge radio hit.

After that, I went to visit my aunt who loves AI in Miami and excitedly told her that I went to see David Cook. She must've heard "Dane Cook" because she asked me if he was funny. And just so happens, that David's on-stage banter is hilarious. So I said that yeah, he was, but found it odd that of all the things she could ask me, she'd ask me if he was funny. It's only in hindsight that I understood the mistake. Never bothered correcting her. |
