So you love it! I do too. But I prefer Davids version. Sorry Andy but David brings so much more to his version with his dynamic superior voice with a very strong high register. It is one of the most beautifully written songs I have ever heard.

MWK version all the way. The only reason I dealt with David singing it was that it turned on more listeners to Neal's tunes. To me, those tunes definitely need Andy singing them. Brilliant music.

I prefer Andy singing it. I love David's version too, but I feel like Andy's voice suits the song better. Though, I love the song live, just to see how they mess up the lyrics each time!

I think that David is very talented and a great guy. Plus, through him, I have met some really talented musicians who shine in their own right.....Ryan, Neal, Andy, Phil, Nick, Bryan, TJ, Queen Caveat, Crash Kings...the list goes on and on. So, I owe him big time for that because getting to know these other people and their music probably would not have happened without David being on AI. It makes me smile how things work.
Some supporters don't focus on anything but what David does. I would go crazy if I had to do that. There is so much music out there to enjoy. I remember at one of the MWK shows talking to a fan who had no clue about the music other than the several songs she thought David had a hand at singing backup or performed at one of his concerts. I thought that was a shame because those MWK tunes are quite good and worth the listen. I just happen to like the original sound of the songs even though I think that David does sing well. And original means Andy's vocals. I really enjoy Neal's writing. The layers in the songs, the lyrics, the variety.....really interesting and great to listen to. Jeannine |

I have no problem agreeing to disagree. That is the beauty of music. There is something out there for everyone and not everyone is going to find the same thing striking a chord with them. It's all good.
As for this site, though, I had always assumed that it was a place to discuss, not only Mr. Cook, but the people in his life that are very important to him. He is certainly surrounded by a very talented group of people. I feel blessed to have stumbled upon them. It is so exciting to know people who are that talented and that loyal to one another. The support system those people have is amazing. They inspire me. Jeannine |

David's absolutely KILLS it.. and kills it for ME... Andy's does nothing of the sort... And yes, we are on to new music and very exciting things but I must say, I am STILL in that ANODYNE ANODYNE ******* ANODYNE ***** frikcin' LOVE FEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ..can't get enough of it and will always be a powerful song for me.. and ALWAYS be David Cook at the helm.. NO ONE else... ..I am excited as all get-out about the new album and all the exciting things to come.. but.. concurrently am carrying on my total frickin' love-fest with... ..you guessed it... I totally agree there is no comparison. It is like comparing apples and oranges. Two totally different sounding voices. That is the beauty of music. There is something out there for all to enjoy and you can certainly enjoy more than one thing at the same time. I have to smile in the fact that, if David hadn't been on that silly TV show, I probably would never have stumbled upon Neal and Andy and their brilliant work. It is such a gift. Two really great people that are oh so talented. They certainly have added a lot of great music to my life to enjoy. I feel very lucky. Looking forward to more great music in the future.
