When it comes to numbers (Audience Impression and # of spins) I want to give my opinion why it's important for us to help prop up BBS. This has less to do with wanting David on rock radio, and more to do with countering the fact that not every CHR station will play his music - not even pop songs like CBTM. KIIS and KLSX in LA stick to strictly R&B, unlike NY's Z100 which will play commercial rock hits. Therefore, I think in order to raise David's AI to counter the slight "lack" of CHR spins (compared to the likes of Pink or Kelly Clarkson), active/mainstream and alt rock radio can provide a little bit of a bump up in AI. I think BBS is the type of song that could hit top 10 on those rock stations... and here in LA, KROQ and KYSR repeat the hell out of their top 10. Every 2 to 3 hours. KROQ has monster numbers here.

So, while I have agreed that focusing on CBTM (streaming, requesting ,etc) has been of paramount importance until now, it looks like CBTM is launching ok. I don't say back away from it, but I do think we need to step up efforts to get BBS on rock, and eventually perhaps added to HAC. I agree with those who think BBS is suitable for HAC. KBIG in LA plays hard rock quite often. Yes, CBTM has the potential of doing extremely well on CHR, but I think that format has limits for non-R&B music.

I know it's tough to handle two singles at once! David and RCA threw us a big task. David has never failed us, and we fans have not failed him. My goal is to get both BBS and CBTM all over the radio.

I just checked yes.com, and BBS is sitting at #271 on WIIL Chicago (active rock). It gets at least one overnight spin daily, and I suppose they spin it more than once a day occassionally. So here's a station that always "tries." They are a rock station willing to put David on the air (as they did early with LO). Are all you folks in the entire northern half of Illinois and SE Wisconsin getting your requests in? This is one case where we need to step it up and let them know we like us some David! Don't spam them... but make sure you make a daily request.. and you can make them at different times of day so you hit different shifts throughout the week. Call them. Text them. Email them.

Also, get those requests in to WMMR, Philadelphia's powerhouse active rock station. I would say try an email to their PD, and then a few texts. You can get their text number from their website - that's what I did. I don't care that my cell phone's area code is 562... that doesn't mean anything anymore. People move all around the country and keep their old cell phone numbers. I always get a confirmation back that they received it. Try reaching out to morning DJ Pierre Robert... he's a very cool dude and not a rock snob. Philly is market #5 with a population of 6 million. There is a "reason" to request in Philly... there have been numerous concerts in that market and BBS has been played at all of them (Rowan, 2 Atlantic City, Pemberton, Delaware)

I haven't been here in a very long time, and it's great to see you are all still active DC fans! I am too! So looking at Radio&Records and Mediabase, CBTM is flat at Top40 and doesn't seem to have much RCA support at this time. I'm not surprised, the RCA Radio Dept should have gone with Declaration instead. It is much more 18-25 male top40 demo friendly. Oh well, labels do make mistakes sometimes.

Dave should still have some good sales numbers this week from the AI appearance. I kinda see 29,900 being possible this week. Hopefully more!

Hi Scott,

You know I don't think RCA was paying attention when Dave was at Z100 last year doing promotion. One of the on air personalities told Dave directly that "HIS" favorite song on the album is Declaration. This guy knows what Z100 will play and RCA missed a big clue right there.

BBS is a great song, probably one of my favorites, so if RCA is willing to get behind it with some station promotion then requests will do alot to help the cause. So I think you are right to build some support for BBS now.
