Yep...it's the Billie Jean note for me too. I love the studio version because it is longer, but I miss that note - he just belted it out and when he took it up a notch it was awesome.

(I tried to see if I could hold the notes in the studio version when I was driving around in my car - windows up of course - and I reckon I was about to bust a few blood vessels in my brain!! I just about had to pull over - I was near on having a myocardial infarction- gettin'myself all dizzy and sweaty!! I do not reccommend attempting this while driving!! laugh.gif )

I am in love with that one awesome long note that came out of nowhere when he sand "Billie Jean" live on Idol...that note is amazing and the way he holds the mic as he's belting it out...I love it...my favorite moment by far! You should go back and watch it...it makes goosebumps!

Its the note between...1:32 and 1:42...and that thing he does with the mic as he's singing that note is awesome for some strange reason!

Oh my! I forgot how sweet he looked then. He looks totally different to me now. But that voice! How can anyone hold a note that long? Just WOW!

I would really like to hear a full version of Switchfoot's "Dare You to Move" - the 2 minutes he did on Idol was a definate tease. His version was so far better then the original.

I think one of my favorites is on Music of The Night, where he sings "where you want to beeeeee", then pulls the mike away so that it kind of echoes and then just stops short, then holds silence for a beat and THEN hits you with full force CFM eyes singing "only then, can you belong to me..." ****major THUD each time******

Another, on Eleanor Rigby, when he throws out his arms on "aaaahhh, look at all the lonely people"..

Hey yeah I definitely loved that he changed around "Always be My Baby." If I was Mariah Carey, I would be proud of David doing my song like that. He knew what he was doing that's why he won! He needed to raise the bar a little bit for AI. Next year will be dull now the expectations are so high. I don't want to audition because I know I can never live up to what David did. He's the best!

All my fav's have been mentioned i.e. Billie Jean, Hello, ABMB, especially MOTN except for my absolute #1 fav:

When he sang "First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" and he sings "your face" 3 times at the end, the third time gives me chills everytime I hear it. If I remember correctly, I fell off the couch when I heard it that night.

I love in the world i know when he sings "and TEARS ROLL DOWN" when he sang that on idol he put a little more emphasis on that then when he did it again on ellen or the wal mart or UCLA concerts if you listen to it....it just sounds like he tired that much harder and gave it his all cause it would be the last song he ever sang on idol.....It tears me up every time

I love the "c'mon" in "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For", but I also love the live performance of "Music of The Night". Even though it's not the whole song, something about his voice in the live performance is so much more...sultry than the studio version. xD

I agree - I loved his performance of MOTN but I felt it lost a little of it's intensity in the studio recording - still love it though!
