I was going to bypass any commenting of this topic but, after reading that post not far above me, I felt I had to reply. I find all of this adoration facinating and a little disturbing. You are really throwing all of your eggs in one basket in stating that it is your life's dream. Is that statement actually true? I sure hope not. I sure hope you have other dreams that you are pursuing or you are surely setting yourself up for a huge disappointment, whether you end up meeting him or not. He is a human being just like all of us who, until a few months ago, did everything we all do....work to eat and pay rent and to pursue something that was important to him. I hate how he is being put on a pedestal and turned into something that is suddenly better than the rest of us. That is just setting him up to disappoint people when he ultimately does something that is human and not perfect. I'm supporting him because of the fact that he is an awesome entertainer who has a bright career ahead of him. I don't give a flying flip if I ever meet him or not. If I do, fine....if I don't, fine. I'm certainly not going to angst over it. I'm here to enjoy the music and can't wait to get my hands on that CD. I bet that is what he would love to have everybody focus on as well....at least, I'm making that assumption based upon other musicians I know. They so want their music appreciated. It is their life and what they want to be associated with. As to how he looks, dresses and who he dates....I willing to bet he would rather that be not so important and just focus on the music.

i have to agree with you, some people's obsession is a bit... perturbing. and yes, of course we have other dreams other than meeting David Cook. of course there is more we want to do in our life than just that. he has a great personality and seems like a really fun guy. so of course we would love to get to meet (or playing guitar hero with) him. and we do love his music; he is an amazing and very, very talented singer and a gifted musician with an amazing voice. his looks and such are just a bonus. so im just saying we do focus on his music too, or at least i do. to me, that is the most important thing.

you all think that you love david cook soo much but i am literally in love with him and here's how i will prove it! first, when i found out that david asked out kim caldwell i cried, everynight i listen to his music before i go to bed or i can't sleep when i found out about the ai tour i almost died so i am going to his concert july 20th (which is my birthday) and hoping i get to meet him and get an autogragh and get some pictures and you never know he might just end up falling in love with me!!! in my dreams but hey "if you don't dream big, what's the use in dreaming??" my dream is not only to meet david but the biggest dream of my life that i mould do anything to make this happen is for him to sing "always be my baby" to me and if he did i would literally die!!!!!!!!!! i check my myspace everyday just to see if he commented me back after i wrote him a three page message but so far nothing:( i think one of the things i like most about david is that he is very very very intelligent and that totally turns me on and another thing is that he is the sexiest man on the planet!!! and i lovve the tatoos that's hot and last but not least he is loving and caring to his fellow ai contestants and he commends his brother all of the time which i thin is great:) i am writing this message for david hoping that he will see it and even though we will probably never be "together" that we can be good friends and sort of stay in touch!!!(my other dream!lol) and one thing, david if you are reading this i just wanted to say that i know that you are in the making of becoming the greastest performer/simger ever but i hope that you never stop being humble and caring about your fans because i love you:) <3<3<3<3 p.s i know that i will meet you before i die an i will make sure of it because i haven't stopped thinking about you since i saw you audition for ai and i followed you ever since so that is my life goal and even though i'm 23 years old and i am always getting asked out i will wait for you no matter who comes along!! i love you and you can message me on myspace anytime my url is courtneyls07 but if you can't find me there my name is courtney stanford and i already have you as a friend i just don't know if its the real you!!!!!!!!!!! oh my. don't say you're in love with David and that nobody else is as good as him. i find that almost pathetic. he's one guy, and theres billions of people in the world. what's the chances of you ending up with him? you're saying you "will wait for him no matter who comes along". and if i was David, i would be a bit uncomfortable with one of my friend's being "in love" with me. i think a friendship would be awkward for him? what im saying is youre setting yourself up to be, pretty much, doomed.

Part of the reason I'm such a big fan is because he's a REAL person. He's completely genuine.
And I actually met him last night. It was AMAZING.
He's a great guy. He's a very happy, gracious human being who takes nothing for granted. I have NEVER met a person like that before. The fact that he is a normal human being is what draws me to him.
I love his music. Analog Heart has some of the most amazing, well-writen lyrics and guitar solos I've ever heard. He's got major talent.
I'm young. I have big dreams for my future. And I'm taking them one step at a time.
I'm sorry if this offended you. This board was meant for light hearted fun!
We're all just happy fans! So why not have fun and be happy fans?
