A Little Bit About Me Though I'm No Newbie.

Hey everyone!

I'm not really a new member on this board ( actually some members know me and even met me at some shows) but i'm gonna say a little bit about myself. my name is Stephora, i'm 29 years old though people don't believe me when i tell them that ( look way younger than that). I was born in Montreal, Quebec but now I live in Laval. I'm currently studying in industry design which is sort of a minor program though it's accelerated ( 1 1/2 years). I'm someone who's artistic, who sings, plays piano by ear and make graphic designs in her spare time ( my two siggys were made by me). I've watched all seasons of American Idol and yeah I had some favorites like Kelly Clarkson, Clay Aiken, Carrie Underwood, Daughtry etc. but I think that Idol 2008 really got to me and for the first time ever, I was really emotionally invested in a contestant named David Cook who completely changed my life. I didn't notice him at first though I liked his audition and was after that more into Michael, Carly and even Archie until a performance called ''Hello'' rocked my world. I was just ''lovestruck'' at that point then the next week he freaking blew me away with ''Eleanor Rigby'' and I knew at that point that he was way different than any other contestant and that he could win the whole show. then he did and I became extremely interested in whatever he was about, got into this site and then the American Idol tour in Toronto was announced and i knew i had to be there to at least see him. not only i did, he signed my t-shirt (i nearly fainted), saw him perform and he left me wanting more!! then came the solo tour and I've gone to two shows so far ( got two more this august) and the first in Niagara Falls, I was lucky enough to see him in person inside the casino and he's so beautiful in person! i stood there like an idiot and if it wasn't for a dear cookiefriend ( yes Renee) and I wouldn't have taken a picture with him!! i don't know there's just something about him and his music that pulls me in and I'm someone who's really harsh when it comes to music ( I'm more into rock music. It's not always about someone's voice no matter what the genre is although I hate singers who sing through their nose (akon and simple plan for example). but I gotta feel the music and David's always gets to me. It's also good that he got such a great sense of humor and that humbleness, i love it. you do understand what i mean, cookie friends. the proof I'm gonna see him 4 times this year only and I'm nearly broke . but he and the dweeb makes all that money spent worthwhile.

Gosh I'm such a rambling idiot when it comes to him.....

David Is #1 On Itunes Canada Top Rock Albums!

Just when I wanted to look for another mp3 song on my gift card, I saw that David's not only in the lead in the Canadian Store, in the top rock albums and the funniest thing is Nickelback's "Dark Horse" is not even in the top 10 but All the right reasons is!! Way to go, David!!

Ooops! I feel a little silly since Quebecfan already posted that topic but hey it's still great news, right!?

Light On At Number 1 On Itunes Now!

Oh man, just went on Itunes to synch my Ipod and thought I was hallucinating: LO is number 1 now!! Whoooo!! I don't know how long it'll last with T.I and Katy Perry in the picture but keep it up guys!! I know I'll buy more copies as gift but we've got to keep Cookie on top!!!

Seeing Cook "in The Flesh" In Toronto ( July 26)!

Oh, I'm so late with my crazy encounter with Cookie and for me almost two months after the show, I still can't get over the fact that I saw the man for real!! I got to Toronto around 9 am so I waited around the bus station a little then got to the ACC at 10:45 at Gate 3 hoping the idols ( especially David ) would come out around 11- 12:30. So I waited and waited like forever ( it was hot and we were inside the ACC ) since the buses were parked underground due to construction on the site until 3: 30 when Ramiele started coming out, then Kristy, Brooke and Jason. I was happy to see them, yeah but I wanted to see Cook so bad!! I was hot and hungry then lo and behold people in the back of the line started screaming really loud and I thought oh well must be archie!! but no!! It was Cook!! I started screamiing like a freaking wacko when he came down the line and was this close to me. then he got in front of me and I don't know where I got the courage to smile and look into his beautiful hazel eyes!! ( argh, he's so gorgeous in person!!) and asked him to sign my cookie nerd shirt and he did and I thought I was gonna die right there!! two archie fans Paulina and Eva I befriended there were laughing at me because I was kinda stammering when I handed to David my Canadian souvenir gift bag!! ( what I said to him is such a blur right now) and he smiled and thanked me!! so sweet and polite! Eva tried to ask Cook to move in my direction to get sorta of a pic with me but all you could see in the pic is his baseball cap and the top of my head being in the way .it wasn't her fault since the idols came really late and they had to rush things (only Jason and Kristy took lots of pictures with fans and interacted with them). Anyway, I can't really complain since my going to the AI tour was such a last minute impulsive thing for me!! Alot of things went wrong like me buying a new camera last minute and not knowing how to make it function properly, forgetting my extra batteries at home so no pics of David at all ( the few I took before my camera died, came out really bad!!but it's all good!! I have his autograph and I can't wait for his solo tour next year and hopefully he'll come back to Toronto and I'll get a picture taken with him!! lol! A girl can still dream, right?
