Dear David Roland Cook,
Hi My name is Karli. Im 13 years old and I live in New York. When you first auditioned, singing Livin On A Prayer by Bon Jovi, I turned to my mom and said "Mom, hes gunna win American Idol." She just looked at me and wrote it down on a piece of paper and taped it to the remote. Then she said "If he wins, I'll take you to the American Idol concert. So from the Top 12, I voted non-stop for you. When it came down to the finale, I stayed up ALL night(literally) voting for you. i wanted you to win so bad. by this point my mom said she would take me to the concert no matter what. So during the 2 hour finally show, I went online, ordered tickets, and bought a t-shirt that said David is Cooking. When Ryan Seacrest said that the person won by 12 million votes, I kind of got scared because I know theres a lot of Archie fans. But the I said to myself, wait, its David Cook, hes gunna win. and when you won, I cried, and cried, and cried. I sat on the couch and cried for like 3 hours straight. I was blown away, sooo happy, so excited for you. Then my mom said, "Congrats Karli. You and me are going to the American Idol concert." I was so happy.
On August 6, 2008, you came to the Times Square Center in Albany, New York. When Archie said "And the next man is a great guy. here he is, David Cook!!!" I started crying. When you asked everyone to sing along with you during Time Of My Life, I couldnt. I tried but I couldnt. It wasnt because I didnt know the words, it was because I was crying to much to make the words come out without me choking. I took so many pictures of you. Im still shoked that I got to see my hero in person. Everytime I look at the videos I downloaded or the pictures I took, I start crying. Now you probably dont believe me when I say that, but its completely true.
Your music from your other bands, Axium, Midwest Kings(you played guitar) and Analog Heart is great. The cover you did of the song Creep is excelent. i love the song Truth, Dont Say A Word, and literally every other song. On American Idol you sang Innocent by Our Lady Peace. Your voice is just so perfect for that song. And I love how every time Simon said something negative about you(which wasnt very often) you took it as advice basically and next week just did everything better.
David Roland Cook, you are my hero. That is the only was I can describe it. Everyone says that when you find your true love youll know it, and David Cook, you are my true love. I just know it. I cant listen to any of your songs without crying. You are just so amazing, so talented, so natural, so hot, just so...so...so perfect in every way. David Cook, I love you, I love you soooo much. I love you. One day I hope that I can meet you, but sometimes I remember that thats probably not going to happen. But David Cook, Im going to keep dreaming and keep thinking that its going to happen because I truly believe that Im going to meet you one day. You are heaven. Your everything that I want, need, dream of. When people ask me who my dream guy is I used to descibe someone, but now all I say is David Roland Cook because you are everything. David Cook, I love you so much.
