Jul's Cinci Review!

We woke up and got out of the hotel a little after 7, so we could get to Cinci bright and early. The ride didn't seem that bad once we got going. Our friend Nicki was supposed to meet up with us, but she ended up not being able to. We got there around 11, and were really surprised to find that the busses were already there. We parked and when we got to the busses, we met up with some nice fans of both Davids. This one family had actually brought some of Cincinnati's best ice cream for the Idols to have..which they later got and LOVED. We waited and waited until close to 1:30-1:45, while periodically going to the box office to see if any good seats had opened up. At this point they have moved us upstairs (the stairs we had to walk up were like death, btw. :thumbsdown: ) and they had set up some baracades. Chekzie came out first and of course totally remembered us. He gives great hugs. (just UNDER David hugs, of course) Then…I think Kristy came out. We took an adorable picture, the 3 of us together, and they wanted to put it in the paper…but, yeah… that wouldn't have been such a good idea. Archie came by, remembering us again LOL. We might as well of been bffs at that point. He asked us if we were doing better, because we were kind of upset when we saw him the night before in Indy. I thought that was super sweet. So…at this point, we were still praying that David would come out. After waiting a little while longer, Michael comes out! Nicole and I about lost it…until 30 seconds later when DAVID followed!! OMG MAYHEM!!!! :spaz: I was so freakin excited that they actually came out together! I hoped they stayed together when they signed, but David started taking forever…and Michael was actually moving at a quick pace for once. I think Jason was out at some point around this time too. He got to us before Michael and he was like, "Hey, I know you!" It was cute. We told him how excited we were that we got to be in his vlog. Nicole took a hugging picture with him where he was making the "stupid face". Then Michael got to us and he made some kind of comment about us being there AGAIN..I think he called us super fans. We saw that he had let some girl a few people down from us wear his hat, so we decided we'd ask him. He was like no…yes…no… Make up your mind! He finally decided no, because he said he had hat hair. Sad. So Nicole mentioned how she thought he should pick her up because she's so short… and he said "you want me to pick you up in a dress…. And then show something off to everyone?" When I took my picture with him, I hugged him and it looks so adorable. He also asked if we had stopped crying. At some point, David had only gotten through a third of the line and then he had to go back inside. Nicole and I started freaking at this point because we didn't know if he'd be coming back out. Our security guard friend assured us that he would be, but we were still nervous. After what seemed like an eternity, David came back out and got to us. It seemed he remembered us too. We asked if he still had our sign… and he said it was in his bunk, so that made us happy. We got hugs, and he signed my red bracelet!! He had to hold my hand to do it. Sadly it rubbed off by the time the night was over…but it'll always sorta be there. He couldn't stop for pictures, so he continued on down the line. When he was done, he only had about 15 minutes but he went through and took a picture with everyone who had their camera ready. It was so cute. For only having .5 seconds to do it, our pics with him came out pretty good! We talked to Jeff Archuleta again too, and he explained in detail our situation from Indy, so we felt better about that. He was going to try and get us tickets, but it didn't end up working out because he said they'd be released to the box office. Our tickets ended up being in the section right next to the stage, row 2. We weren't too excited at first because we wanted floor. We walked to this place that we thought was a bar/grill that was down the street from the venue, but it turns out you had to be 21 to get in. The guy was nice enough to let Nic in, just because we were only going to get food and leaving. He gave us a whole speech about how careful I especially needed to be. Oy, I'm not stupid. Anyway, we ate it outside the arena and then waited until it was time for the doors to open. We went in and immediately found our seats. I think freaking out would probably be an understatement. We were so close to the side stage that we might as well of been on top of it. We rested our arms on it for a lot of the show… it was amazing. I won't go into too much detail about the show itself, because you all obviously know what goes on by now. They were all a riot, though. Ramiele saw us and did that really excited face that she does. Nicole did one half of the heart hands towards her, and she did the other, when she was on our side! Then Michael comes out and he goes "David Cook taught me how to spell Cincinnati today!" and then when he was going to sing Dream On, he said "This is the song that got me voted off American Idol. Randy didn't like it very much, but Randy's not here… so I'm going to sing it anyway!" :roll: I think that's probably my favorite performance in his set. During intermission, we saw David's stepmom and dad and they were excited to see us. His dad did the thank you thing that David always does a bunch of times. You could tell he was so sincere about it too. When David came out, he sang a song he learned in elementary school on how to spell Cincinnati, which was hilarious. :lmao: Then, after another song, he was like… "So, I was backstage checking my email and Carly Smithson walks by. She said *imitates Carly* David, Cincinnati is awfully loud!" and then he goes "That was my best Irish accent!" It was HILARIOUS. :roll: The whole time, we could see Carly standing in the wings with her hands on her hips. We tried to get David's attention or at least hers to tell her to go up to him, but she left before we could. Seeing My Hero at this angle was AMAZING because he came right on the rail next to us and we could touch those beautiful boots, and pants! Then during Billie Jean, we could see him jumping up and down before he came out…and I was wondering why he was doing that. Someone didn't have his guitar ready to go, so he went out without it…and then Timmy was standing there in the wings holding it. I wonder why he didn't just go give it to him. Anyway, It turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because this caused him to come back to our side and jump on the railing again! I got some nice pictures. PDSTM had the usual amazing Mavidness. I can't even describe it…and I'm sure you've all seen the youtube video by now. It was just great to see it happening, like 5 feet from us. :w00t: When it was over, we could kind of see David backstage and he waved. Then we decided to go over by where they were meeting for the after party, even though we weren't going. We found his step mom again because we wanted to say goodbye. We had a good conversation and she said that we made the experience so much more fun, and said how nice we were and stuff. I really hope we can see her again! After this, we left. We stopped by the barricades for a few minutes, but decided to leave bc there as no way we'd be able to get close enough to them. From here, it was back to Toledo… in a lot of traffic. We ended up getting home at like 3:45am.
