If you would like to be sent an invite pm me your e-mail address and I will send you one! I will need some extra help this year, as I have been spending a lot of time in the "real" world, lol. So if there is anyone willing to make the banners for this year, let me know! Let the yogurt fun begin!

Did you know that hunger is a struggle for 1 in 8 Americans? There are three ways you can help secure millions of pounds of groceries for local food banks.
Pledge For every pound you lose, General Mills will donate 10¢ to Feeding America™— enough to provide one pound of groceries to a local food bank. $500,000 maximum donation. $100,000 guaranteed minimum donation. Mail in Pound For Pound Seals from millions of General Mills packages. For every seal received by 12/31/09, General Mills will donate 10¢ to Feeding America™ up to a maximum donation of $275,000 Donate You can donate directly to Feeding America, a network of more than 200 member food banks. As the nation’s leading charitable hunger-relief organization, Feeding America serves all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. During the pink lid campaign, Cookies Fighting cancer raised 2,384 lids. Let’s try to beat that amount! If you have any questions, check out http://www.pfpchallenge.com/ or post here or PM me! Thank you, and happy eating! Emily:)

To celebrate David’s one-year anniversary of his haircut, I’m starting “The Haircut Heard Round The World Project”. There are many different ways to help out.
1. If you have 8+ inches of hair to cut off, donate your hair to Beautiful Lengths (http://www.beautifullengths.com/en_US/) 2. If have 10+ inches of hair to cut off, donate your hair to Locks of Love (http://www.locksoflove.org/) 3. Hair that is shorter can be donated to Locks of Love, where they will sell it to offset manufacturing costs. 4. Don’t want to cut your hair? You can donate money to either Beautiful Lengths or Locks of Love. I will be creating an online scrapbook with everyone’s hair transformations. Even if you don’t have enough hair to donate, you can still be a part of the scrapbook! All you have to do is get a haircut and include a before picture and an after picture. If you have any questions, please ask! The deadline for this project is April 1, 2009. Thank you! Emily:) The Inspiration: ![]() (David’s hair timeline found from:http://www.davidcookofficial.com/content/is-davids-hair-expressive-his-body )

Inspired by this post at DCO...
QUOTE The tradition in our house is to have the Christmas decorations up the day after Thanksgiving. We were very busy putting decorations up, lights out in the yard and putting up the Christmas Tree. I was just looking at the decorations in the house as I was getting home from work and turning on all the lights and started wondering what type of tree we should have here, at DCO? I was remembering the David Cook office cubicle that someone did. Who can remember that? That was so creative and fun to watch being set up! What if someone here could do something similar only it would be David Cook's Christmas Tree and either post on here or start a seperate thread! The whole Tree would be decorated with ornaments relating to DC!!! A real Cookified Christmas Tree! I was also wondering what happened to Serenity65's (I think it was?) wonderful "12 Daves of Christmas"? Maybe that could be brought to light again and posted here or on the front page somewhere to help get us all into the Christmas Spirit! I know there are a lot of creative people here and word nerds too that could "Cookify" some of the old Christmas songs! Maybe those like Kaydeecee who are so gifted in the area of writing could come up with a Cook Christmas story too! Maybe the web Nerds could put up a few Christmas lights around here as well! Anyway, I'll go back to doing the Christmas Cards---That's another thing! Make David Cook related Christmas Cards! And more of the cute Dancing Elf videos! Come On Creative Types! We need some Christmas Spirit here at DCO! I created this!... The tree: http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq279/e...ly/IMG_5676.jpg Detail on one of the guitar picks! http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq279/e...ly/IMG_5671.jpg The tree has red balls and red bows for the KC Chiefs. The multi-colored lights are in honor of Magic Rainbow, and the silver tinsel is in honor of TOML going platinum! There are little NYC ornaments that maybe David would have picked up as a souvenir since he is in New York a lot. There are handcuffs and stars on the tree just like his necklace which he wore during AI. Also, I put a Lindsey Rose bracelet on the tree. The presents underneath the tree is a representation of what the tree would look like after the family unwrapped their Christmas gifts. There is a can of Bar-Ba-Sol (Hopefully they kept the gift receipt for that item!), a guitar pick guard, a picture of David he could give to his mommy, DCTR, Axium cds, Tickets to see one of David's shows or tickets for David's mom to go on a cruise, or even tickets to one of David's favorite bands like Our Lady Peace! You get to decide There are I think 18 guitar picks, all signed by David of course! Oklahoma magazine, a fedora, and a "light" on the tree (In honor of LO). Also, by request I added a thing of massage oil. No pink panties though. Sorry! I hope you like it! Edit: I forgot to tell you about the picture ornament!! It has Andy in it. This could happen because 1) Andy could give him one as a joke, 2) Because they are good friends, and 3) Because that's what picture I had handy to put in the ornament |
