Anyway..... I had this idea. Since David has been SUCH a riot over the course of this tour and has given us SO many reasons to laugh and smile each day, I thought it would be a fun idea to pay him back.
And I mean PAY HIM BACK.

Here's my idea:
I want to comprise a scrapbook of pictures of all of his lovely fans (all that want to be in it anyway), have it titled "My Lovely Fans" or something like that on the front.....
and have it full of pictures of said lovely fans....
with Sharpies up their noses.

Anyone game?

If you are, please PM me and I'll send you my address, where you can send a pic. I'd prefer to recieve actual pictures from you guys (3x5 or 4x6), than recieve files and have to spend a fortune on photo paper and ink cartridges. (Times are tough and money is tight right now - sorry.)

I'm thinking the deadline should be October 1st or so.... may push it back a little if need be, but it won't be that long after the tour is over, he'll be in the middle of album-production-chaos and could probably use a reminder of the good times we all had together this summer and a little break that'll make him smile.

If you want to include a little personal "hello" or blurb, that would be good too.
Or even include a stupid joke - we all know how he loves those.

So, who's with me? Anyone? Anyone? Beuhler?

People need to take a step back and consider how they would want to be treated and do the same with everyone they encounter, whether they be a now-famous rock star, or the guy dressed in the bee suit outside the buffet restaurant. We're all people, trying to get through the day and a little respect does indeed go a long way.

Rickey.org fans show Cookie some love!!!

Hey fellow Rickey fans!

I have just sent a letter to Rickey for him to post on his site, so that Cookie knows it's not all about Archie. Poor Cookie, the past couple of nights, has given us the impression that he's been overlooked by the Rickey site, but it's NOT TRUE!!! WE LOVE HIM!!!!

Please send Rickey a letter to add to mine, so that Cookie can see how many of us there are truly there for him. Send an email to rickey@rickey.org, if you would, and hopefully he'll post them on his site.

Dear David~

As you are well aware, there is this guy, Rickey, who has a blog and posts lots and lots of things about American Idol and the reality tv genre in general. He also broadcasts the Idol concerts live every night, via the cell phones of people in the audience. A lot of us, like myself, may never get to see the show live, so we sit at our computers for hours on end, listening in breathless anticipation for a small glimpse of what others are experiencing in person. It's a shadow in comparison to the real thing, but it's all we've got right now.

You should know.... about 75% of the fans listening in on Rickey's cell casts (and that number can reach up into the 500's on any given night) are Word Nerds. There are a number of Arhie fans and Castro fans and one or two MJ fans (be sure to rub that in), but for the most part, we're there to hear YOU and to catch a glimpse of your genius. Rickey even plays some of your music during intermission to keep us all sated. Your Analog Heart songs are always a big hit. That album is brilliant.

We've gotten the feeling over the past few cell casts that you are under the impression that it's all about Archie. Rickey has a lot of people who send him Archie info to post on his blog, it's true, but the cell casts, baby, are all yours. The Word Nerds OWN those cell casts and we love every minute of them. If you don't believe me, ask Carly or Jason's Mom.... they know.
