surely there is someone out there that has met them at their hotel?

I think if anyone had, they'd have likely posted it before now. I think most fans are not so much into chasing them down at the hotels because the opportunity to meet them before and after the show is probably much more likely to happen.

Are they even staying in hotels? I thought they were sleeping on the buses and only staying in hotels if they have a day off or are playing the next venue quite close. huh.gif I guess someone may have seen them in Vegas where they had a layover, I think, but then I think that Vegas deals very well with VIPs and they probably spend a lot of time in their rooms catching up with sleep.

god ok i work at a motel and i would probably freak if i knew they were staying!
we had the crusty demons stay once..they trashed the room and it took me ages to clean but it was SO WORTH IT!

Honestly I hope people don't stalk their hotels as they need some privacy and time to do things without being mobbed UGH...

It would be fun if it was an accidental thing but not just total stalking to mob them

Hey there. OK, I avoided posting this the first time that I saw this thread. But I do have some info to share.

I stayed at the hotel across from the Glendale arena, and I guess a lot of fangirls thought that the Idols might be staying there. I made some posts that day with some observations. But here is what I can say:

The hotel was CRAWLING with fans (some staying there and some visiting in search of the Idols). MOBBED. Parents dropping groups of fangirls off at the hotel for unsupervised stalking, advising their children to 'dress up' in casual business attire so as to blend in with the hotel guests.

The girls searching for the Idols actually created quite a security risk and a major inconvenience for those paying to stay at the hotels. As a result, security was tightened pretty dramatically, and all guests were put through additional hoops. Girls were randomly getting off on floors and roaming hallways. If the elevator wouldn't let them up to a certain floor (e.g., top floor), they would hoof it up the stairs to gain access to the floors. I called the front desk on another topic, and the guy who answered the phone said, "Yes, we're aware of the fans roaming your floor right now. We can see them on the security camera, and security is on their way to escort them from the property immediately."

I was also in Vegas the weekend the Idols were there, and the fans randomly scouring hotels and 'hanging out' hoping for a glimpse of Idols in case they were staying there was actually kind of odd and disruptive. We visited the Hard Rock (hotel across from Vegas venue), and the scene there was unbelievable. And the hotels are supposed to be where the Idols have down-time and time to rest, get ready for the next show.

If the Idols are staying at a hotel, this type of scene actually makes it harder for everyone including fans hoping to 'bump into' the Idols as the tour security will really lock down on them as will hotel security. Please understand that they deserve some privacy, rest and security. And if the Idols aren't staying at a hotel that fans think they are staying at and as a result mob the hotel, it's unfair to that hotel and its resources -- and it does create a security risk for all guests.

I agree with others -- if the Idols stay at a hotel and you happen to run into them there (although their elevator rides will be secure), great. Make a moment of that happenstance. If you'd like to meet the Idols, please consider going to them in the forums in which they are acting in a professional capacity (e.g., the concert venue).

Please understand that the Idols are people, too. I think they deserve some privacy, just as we all do. jmo.

According to Brooke White's blog, they do stay at hotels. But only for very short stays. They arrive in the city they are performing usually around 5 or 6am. They get off the buses, crawl to their rooms and go back to sleep (if they can, Brooke says once she's up, she's up for the day) for a few hours and then they check out before noon and get back on the buses and head off to the venue.

So the odds of seeing them at the hotels is slim.

Reading about mobbed hotels is kind of disturbing. I am staying at a nice hotel right behind the venue in Tampa and I have this bad feeling that I wont even be able to enjoy my stay because there will be so many girls thinking the idols are there. Unfortunately, I need the convenience of a hotel close by so I am going to have to deal with it.

Mama, I know! Once you get to past the elevators, you should be fine. If the hotel is that close to the venue (like mine was in AZ), they might have the elevators on lock down so that only guests with key cards can get on/off them. But it's an inconvenience well worth it for the sake of safety!

When I was in AZ, lindz sent me a text that she knew it was going to be crazy over at the hotel day of show. She was right! But it so nice to just cross the street to get to the concert. And afterwards, I was online within 20 minutes of the show's conclusion (to update you all with the review of Opening Night!).

yeah...i don't recommend stalking the hotel...that's where they go after spending the night in the bus and they deserve some down-time (read brooke's blog, she shared a lot of details about their days). so, even happenstance encounters there would be rare.

after the events in recent days, i feel horrible about starting this thread. was just curious if anyone had seen idols outside hotel as i had seen on tv clips of other artists fans outside their hotels.

i do not condone hotel stalking, especially inside the hotel. like was stated previously, if you are a guest and you see them there it is different, but even if i was a guest, i dont think i could or would even say a gentle hello (especially after the recent events.)
