There's an article about Mariah mentoring the Idols on USWeekly.com. No mention of DC though Basically it's just AI Musical Director Michael Orland commenting on how he thinks it will go this week. The only person he mentions is...what a shocker...Archie.

Phooey on that i say. But thought i would post the link anyway if anyone wants to read it.

I'm still relatively against this whole Mariah night
...it's just a reason to push Archie forward in the competition
'cause his little girl voice can probably nail her.

It's pretty obvious that they chose the themes with Carly and Archie in mind. I don't think they had any idea that David Cook was going steal the whole show.

I just think themed weeks that restrict the contestants to one artists' music are stupid in general. Especially an artist as distinctive as Mariah Carey. It's just so unfair.
Though, strangely, I didn't really have a problem with the Beatles nights. Probably because I'm an enormous Beatles fan, lol. But then again I love Dolly Parton too and I thought that theme was just stupid. I think the Beatles had enough songs and a broad enough catalog that it offered something for everyone, but Dolly Parton and Mariah Carey? Not so much.

That said, I hope David completely nails it while Carly, Archie, and Syesha fail miserably. Hahaha. Sorry I'm mean, but I would really love to see that.

and one thing that annoys me is that the AI guy...Michael Orland
...says he likes Archie 'cause he "is trying new things, and everything he tries – even just fooling around and playing - works."

O.o is he talking about the right David?
maybe I'm biased but Archie's performances seem exactly the same to me.

Yea, makes me sick how much a "certain" contestant is getting the hype. Who knows maybe Orlando whats his name mentioned something about all the contestants and they just decided to print the one quote. Its happened before.

It just makes me want to vote more....

That's the spirit. Focus on David Cook.
