Dearest David,

This is such a long-shot; what are the odds of you actually reading this? I must be out of my mind to write a letter to you, on a fan-site, thinking you might stumble across it eons from now. But, even if this never reaches you, I would hope that you know how many fans you have that truly cherish your brilliant music and humble, caring, and incredibly brave character. I hardly watch TV (I’m a busy college student in pursuit of degrees in International Studies and Journalism), but I came across this documentary about one of the Idol cast-offs from your season. I don’t recall his name, but he had become ill with cancer shortly after leaving the show. He mentioned that you visited him in the hospital, even when you were busy as hell. Honestly, you can’t be a celebrity, because no “star” would ever set time out for anyone other than themself. Instead, I believe that you are one of the most inspirational, kind-hearted, and down-to-earth people on this planet. The fact that you’re beyond talented is just the icing on the cake!

I sincerely hope that this message is reaching you in the best of spirits and health, and that all is well with you and your family. I also hope that you are thoroughly enjoying your time in the limelight! No one deserves it more than you! After graduating from college I’m going into the Peace Corps for a couple years. While I may not have access to internet or mainstream media for awhile, I wish to come back to America and hear more about the astonishing marvels you have accomplished!

Please never change, you are truly an inspiration.

Thank you for all that you are. smile.gif

Affably,

Ps. Your version of (everything really, but especially) Eleanor Rigby gave me chills. Phenomenal is a severe understatement!
