I hesitate to write to you, actually because I think you are receiving sooo much stimuli that it is impossible for it not to drain your energy. But I'm not a typical fan. I'm not madly in love with you. I'm a grandmother. I don't want a piece of your clothing. I quit collecting long ago! I don't want to hug, kiss, or touch you. I don't need to talk about your exceptional body parts. (I'm sure you must have read a lot of those sentiments!) I just want to tell you how much I love the presentation of your music, the passion in your performance. I am glad I was able to watch you on American Idol where you had to perform many different types of music so I could see what a wide range of ability you have. Your rock music is great, but before it is all over, I know you will have expressed your talent in many different forms, musical and otherwise. I eagerly await those performances. But hurry up! I can't live forever!
Now about your body parts:
I pray your family and friends will help you keep a sense of reality in your life, and I wish all good things for you.
I look forward to buying your record and attending your solo tour.
Cordially,
J R(a retired college English prof.)
