This is one of my all time fave performances of DC(even with the crappy audio). I've been watching this since it was posted on youtube. LOVE it.

Wow. A superstar before he was a superstar. Acoustic "The Truth." That man can make a perfect song even better. He's the only singer I know who will cover his own songs! He is just beautiful when he sings acoustic and feels the song. He's a rare performer who can rock an arena with amazing hooks, and then pick up an acoustic guitar, go unplugged and make you cry. DC really rocks my soul.

Thank you! Yes, I am, but when I get a compliment from a fellow fan it's total validation. No matter how confident you are (I bet David would agree totally) or humble you try to be, a compliment is pure validation and that's always great. I write news copy at the two local CBS stations in LA.

This was the first version of The Truth I'd heard, even before the AH version-and he certainly had me here, bad audio and all. Indeed, the closeups are stunning-green nail polish and all!

I definitely agree. An "unplugged" concert, or concert segment, would also be nice...

I would love to see him do an "un-plugged" set. He is just such an amazing performer. I would have loved to have known him before Idol. I still don't understand why he wasn't discovered sooner.
