So I will be going solo to the show again. Here's the story.

My little sister and I were both planning on going. We were die hard fans this entire season and we both LOVED David. (well she loved Jason a little more...but we voted for David all four hours at least 1500 times each lol) So we made plans to attened the Tulsa show because I had some friends up there and we both love that city. A few days before I got our tickets she fell really ill and the doctor said that she couldn't travel and I live in Texas...so that was a NO right off the bat. Stephanie (having the heart that she does) wanted me to go and have fun anyway and told me to get lots of pictures. lol. So I got one ticket and booked a fancy hotel for two nights.

Well she got better and the doctor cleared her for travel and we got really excited! We've been looking around for an extra ticket but she got sick again...same symptons as last time only worse. (don't know exactly whats wrong...tests are still being done...but as soon as I find out I will let everyone know) So she won't be going FOR SURE no matter what. I'm afraid that it's cancer or something...I don't know what I would do...she's 17 and thats not fair...I told her I'd cancel it all and that if she couldn't go then I wouldn't either.

Again with her big ol heart she says to me "Go to the concert. You've spent a lot of money on that hotel and you've saved a lot of money for gas, tolls, and souveniers. I want you to go! Plus I want you to try your hardest to meet them and take pictures with them with this sign." So she hands me a sign that she made that says "Wish you were here! Get Well SOON!"

So I AM going to this show. and I will meet David, Jason and all the other idols and take pictures with them for her. I don't know how I will go about meeting them in person to tell them her story...but I will do it. keep her in your prayers guys. She's sad that she can't go to the concert and even more sad that she won't be able to go with us to take my other sister off to Baylor (this is her first semester). This has been hard for all of us...so just pray for strength and healing!! I believe in the power of prayer and that it can do miracles!!

I'm so sorry about your sister. I'll say some prayers that she gets better. I hope it's nothing serious. I hope you get to meet some of the idols and have them hold up her sign...what a great idea, and what a way to cheer her up a bit!

Thanks a really sad story seeing as I'm 17 and couldn't imagine the let down of not being about to go to my concert and somehow meet cookie. I just wanted to say you are an amazing person! I wish you the best and steph will definitely be in my prayers! Please keep us updated.

Would you??? That would be so great if you can! It would mean a lot since I'll have no one there with me...but my camera isn't a little bitty thing....its a Canon Rebel SLR...it's a little tricky to operate but I'll show you how if you don't know lol.

Awwww Delilah! listen, go for your sister. thats the thing she wants the most, and i'm sure she doesn't want you to miss out. your a sweet person, and your sister will be in my prayers. im 17 as well, so i can imagine how hard that must be. just be strong for her, that's what she needs the most right now, and i know she'll be better before you know it

And I really hope that you can meet the idols properly so you can tell them about her situation. I have one idea, if it is possible you can ask if DC or Jason (or both) wants to say something to her, and you can record it to her with your camera? It would be a nice surprise to your sister!

Update on my sister...she's been having a couple of good days lately. She's been getting out of bed and doing some stuff...we still don't know what it is. The doctors are seriously stumped. it's like we're on an episode of House or something.

I am sorry to hear about your sister, I will keep both of you in my prayers. I am glad you will still go and hopefully have the opportunity to meet the Idols. Maybe you can get one of them on camera, perhaps her fav. jason to say her name. I am sure he will do it if he has time. Enjoy the show and takes tons of pics/videos for your sister!

so....mono...thats the diagnosis...and an almost ruptured spleen. Why it took doctors so long to find it I have no idea....but thats what it is...I guess the symptoms fit...but I just want to know why it took them so dang long that her spleen almost ruptured...I guess that was the tip off?? But wouldn't the symptoms have pointed to it a long time ago??


grrr...I DO NOT like doctors...(which is kinda bad since I work for one...but he's a cardiologist...different story. lol) But she still won't be able to go to the show because we can't get a ticket...and she's bummed know that we know whats wrong...so I'm still going to take a new sign that says wish you were here and tell the idols what happened.

::Sigh:: I'm glad that she's going to recover but sad that she can't go.

I am glad that your sister is going to be Okay - I will continue to keep her in thought and prayer for a speed recovery.

Enjoy your show in September and hopefully you will have a chance to meet DC - I am sure that he would want to know about your sister.
