Basically what happened here was that TOML sales went up about 5,000 with a 20% increase compared to last week and it was sitting at #41 as of the end of the day on Sunday.

It's the little song that could.

I like your take Scott.

I think its moving again because of the tour. I really think it's now getting to where people are buying David, as much as, if not more than they are buying the song.

For me, he keeps ramping it up live. I'm actually beginning to like it more myself.

He's going to prove those critics wrong.

Actually, I don't think the tour is having any influence on the song at all. If this song wasn't getting the airplay it's getting now, it would have disappeared from i-Tunes long ago. Airplay is what has helped keep the song stable sales wise. What caused the bump I believe was the song being featured on SYTYCD last week because basically, the song was on a slow decline where digital sales was concerned, and the song being featured on that show last week gave it a slight sales boost.

I do agree that this song is sort of like the little engine that could. How well it has done so far has surprised a lot of people. smile.gif

Now let's see if NBC Sports decides to use TOML for a sappy Olympics segment!!!! I hope so. I want TOML to do so well that it becomes a stand alone single and can afford to stay off the new album. It has also grown on me. I went from saying "David did a great job making that listen-able" to saying "I actually like TOML." Poor David... he's now going to have to sing it on his solo tours for years to come!!!! I bet he has a soft spot in his heart for TOML.

Yep to all that. LOL That song would be perfect to use for a sappy Olympics segment. I would rather it be a stand alone single too. I don't doubt he has a soft spot for the song and with the fact it has done as well as it has, it makes it that much sweeter. smile.gif
