Hey, the Baltimore, MD show at 1st Mariner Arena is only 5 days from now but I haven't seen any threads or posts from anyone ... huh.gif

Who's going? My 19 year old daughter, Michelle and I will be there (section 2, row P)! And we're planning on getting there early for the busses (crossing fingers!)!

Please post if you're going and if you're coming early and where you'll be sitting! Let's get some excitement going for this show! smile.gif
MellyBelly
I was planning on going but my brother surprised me with Mets/Nationals baseball tickets in DC the same day. I'll be so close but so far away! I hope you find people that are going!

Hey Suze, bumping your thread so more people will see it. I wish I were going!
cookie jar
i'm going... but i'm going with a friend and sitting in an upper level side view section cause he wouldn't want to be all up in the crazy crowd.

this will be my 6th show in 2 weeks... i'm not going early or staying after. but i'm still excited. i still get excited every show.
annette
I would have liked to consider it - but it's hard being a week night and I have meetings at work the next day. If it was a weekend night - I would have loved to attend.

Everyone who is going - enjoy.

I had bought a ticket to go but not sure if I will be able to because I don't have a ride to get home. If I do manage to find a way then I will attend.
mrsdavidcook08
Me my mom and dad are going (section 114 row m) thanks to ALL the word nerds who pulled their money together to get me the seats after all the handicapped seats were "Sold out" you all are my heroes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Suze - I have been thinking the same thing. I tried to start a thread awhile back but it just seems like no one is excited about this show. That makes me sad sad.gif

Anyway - I am going. I only live like a mile from the arena so I want to be there early. I don't know anyone who is going. Maybe we could meet up and wait for the buses?? That would be pretty neat. How early were you planning? I took the day off work so I could go as early as I wanted. I am sitting in section 101 row B.

I am so excited! I know there have to be other people just as excited (right?).

Shoshana, I'M excited!!!! biggrin.gif

Yes, we can definitely meet up! Michelle and I plan on getting there around 11:00 to 11:30 ... I took the day off too! In fact, I'm on Cookcation next Tuesday through Friday, since I'm going to both Baltimore and DC laugh.gif
shoshawhat
Cookcation - that is awesome. I busted up laughing and my dog looked at me like I was a crazy person smile.gif

11-11:30 is kinda what I was thinking too. That seems to be what all the people who have met them have said. We'll have to figure something out to meet up. I don't know anyone who is a DC fan and my boyfriend looks at me like I am nuts if I even mention him. Oh well. This board is an outlet smile.gif

Hmmmm ... sometimes double letter rows are in the front of the single letter rows ... but sometimes they're behind them. Depends on the venue. Sooo, I think you would have to call 1st Mariner to find out for sure.

But ... I just checked Tickemaster and there is a seat in section 2, row O ... section 2 in B'more starts with row J ... so that's 6th row! The row in front of me!
wheezie_v
I will be there. My sister and I are going. I took the day off work and am coming down the night before and staying in a hotel. I'm planning on getting there sometime around 11 AM.

First Mariner doesn't seem to have a seating chart for the Idol tour. Anyone have a clue what seating this would be comparable to?

Their main concert one- just keep in mind that there is a catwalk in section 2, so the front row is J (thanks for finding that out Suze). You could also call and check with someone at the box office.

Me Me!! I'm going! I wasn't going to take the whole day off, but now I'm re-thinking it. When will I ever have a chance again!

I'm bring my 2 girls with me. Ages 9 and 4, so I'm not sure they'd want to hang out all day in the sun waiting for them. If not, I'll definitely be there by 5:30 or so.

I'm in the 200's section, close to the stage. I've gotta remember to get some earplugs for my girls.

We are planning on getting there between 11-12 for the buses, hoping for autographs and pics!!! We are in sec 112, row BB. I hope they are not too far, never been there before. We're coming from PA, only about 1 hour drive.

Have a question for those of you planning to be there late morning: where exactly are you going to be?

Good question! laugh.gif

When I called the box office last week to ask a seating question, I asked the man who answered about the busses. After we finally established that I was asking about the busses for the performers, he said "Well, we don't tell people about that because often the artist doesn't want people to know." I replied, "Well, in this case, let's assume they do ..." smile.gif

He laughed and said "They come in on the Hopkins Plaza side"

Sooo, that's where I'm planning on going! wink.gif

And by the way, any of you Marylanders who want to donate to our Team (see banner below) please feel free, since there is no MD team that I'm aware of ... and we're a pretty cool team so we will take donations from anyone anywhere!!! biggrin.gif

From their website: Parking:

There are approximately 22,000 parking spaces in the general vicinity, and an 850-car garage attached to the facility on Howard Street for the convenience of patron parking

OMG, I am so totally sad and mad about this Mavid development.

I just can NOT understand why they would tell them to stop doing it!!! Seriously, don't they realize how popular it's become? What are they thinking???? wacko.gif

MAYBE instead of them doing the MAVID , the whole audience should start doing it at that same point. Just start dancing goofy

I am betting those boys would totally crack up LOL

As long as I'm not the only one dancing!

I'm curious about something. They have the day off tomorrow, so chances are DC might be whisked away tonight(?). In the instances where they've had a day off, is he usually out in the afternoon the next day, or does he tend to arrive a bit late? Anyone ever track that?

(Still trying to come up with a good excuse for sneaking down there in the afternoon. smile.gif )

LOL. You won't be. MJ fans are in on this too. Should def. spread it around before the show as well.

I'm not sure about off days. Maybe some past threads have something about this?

LOL. I think the Titanic may already be covered. There are so many moves to chose from...but I'm def. pulled toward the ballet, since it was the last one they did...
Suze109
Okay Baltimore ... it's up to us to really be the place where "Please Don't Stop the Mavid" really has a chance to take hold!!!

Bring signs, chant MAVID DANCE before PDSTM and do your own Mavid dance moves in your seat at the place in the show were they've been doing the Mavid dance moves.

LETS DO IT!
