Hey everyone,

My family and I were fortunate enough to attend the after party on August 5th. We met and took pictures with KLC, Brooke (who was incredibly sweet and very kind to everyone), Archie, Syesha, Michael Johns - who was also very funny & terrific with the fans. I told him we hope to hear more from him, and he told me his single will be out in November and CD in january....i said we will be buying it!! Of course the highlight for me and my kids was meeting DAVID COOK!

I had a nice, albeit brief, chat with cookie. He joked around about my kids and my daughter's fingernails, which we had painted red (for cookie) and then wrote DAVID COOK in white. My kids were speechless but extremely happy to meet him. He graciously signed my son's shirt and my daughter's arm - now she said she will never shower again (OMG). I asked him if I could have an autography too and he signed the back of my itouch - saying that 'it renders it valueless you know' and all i could think to say 'not to me!' I told him we had seen him perform at Roc Centre in NY and he said he will likely be there again around Christmas time (yeh for those close to NYC). I also said we were looking forward to his cd and he said 'so am I'. I also asked if he remembered meeting my niece in toronto (see earlier post) and i reminded him that her boyfriend looks like Jason Castro (he does, it is really amusing) and he thought for a sec and said YES! I REMEMBER THEM! it was really sweet.

idolgirl: Thank for sharing and what great pictures. So glad that you and your children got to meet David and have some conversation with him. This will be a really nice memory. It is so great to hear how warm and down to earth he is.

I think that's a very good possibility. Carrie did perform there at some point, maybe even twice.
