I am so pleased for Archie hitting the # 1 spot on Itunes. I had the pleasure to meet him , and I was quite impressed by his poise and maturity . I also had the pleasure to talk to Jeff Archuleta for doing such a wonderful job as a father. For all the bad publicity Jeff Archuleta has received for being a so-called overbearing father, I personally found him charming and very caring , not only towards his son but for (we) the fans as well!!
Archie took the time (did not rush) to sign everything that was handed out to him. He even did a victory lap around the barricades , that were set-up to keep us away from them. Me and a whole bunch of friends went to the concert and waited for everybody to come out , and found ourselves enjoying Archie's outing as well as Kristy Lee Cook's . They are really wonderful individuals !!! And they all deserve to be succesfull !! They were energetic and truly happy to be greeting us ! I will never forget it! It was an Amazing Experience !!!
It would have been even more Amazing if Mr. Cook had come out to greet us as well! But it seems as of late ,that he doesn't consider necessary to thank his fans after the shows I know he's not obligated to thank anyone , but neither is the rest of the Idols !!! So as far as I am concerned , Go Archie !!

cookifiedforlife - that's great that you got to talk to ARchie, Jeff A. and Kristie. i am sure that Jeff really appreciated your compliments. This was the NJ show correct? i was there on Thursday day/night (the IDOLS did not get to the venue until 3:30is - only Kristie and Brooke came out prior to the M&G. Then that night I think everyone came out except for DC, Ramielle and Chickezie. DC was back and forth to Manhattan alot those two nights with recording sessions. So I did not get a chance to see him either.

I think he is really sticking to spending time with the fans in the afternoon and not after the show.

Alot of people have had great experiences in the afternoon autograph sessions.

Oh well - we will just have to catch DC when he comes back to NY on his solo tour - I think he will be around Manhattan a few times between Fall/Winter timeframe.

I don't think that anyone of the American Idol finalists deserves anyone's pity. They are all very talented , and as far as Kristy Lee Cook , she's quite impressive as a singer and as a human being ! You can love David Cook all you want , but we should never be disrespectful towards anyone else among the idols . I am sure that she'll do quite well without your 99 cents

I hope all of the people cheerleading for Archie right now and encouraging people to buy multiple copies of his single so his sales numbers will go up will be willing to go the distance for the person this fan board is named after when his music comes out. After all, this is his fan board. Archie has plenty of his own.

i bought kristy's single. I didn't buy Archie's. I'm not a fan. My mom is and bought like 10 copies.

DC has been working on his album after the concerts, that's why he hasn't been coming out. He has been coming out before the shows and thanking his fans, so I think it's a little rude for you to say that he doesn't consider that necessary. For someone wanting respect for Archie and KLC, you are not showing much for DC, IMHO.

I am not a fan of Archie and KLC's songs, so I will not be purchasing them. However, I do wish them luck.

And Yes! I am a David Cook Fan , and I like to speak my mind about issues I feel strongly about We should never express pity for anyone among the idols , as you did previously for Kristy Lee Cook! David Archuleta happens to be a fine young man so much that David shares the spotlight with him basically everywhere he goes .

If I say I agree with this, will I be accused of hand wringing or speculation? Funny how quickly the attention on his own board can shift, isn't it? Personally, I am waiting for new music from DC, so that he has the opportunity to present himself to the music buying public with something that is his style, a representation of the album to come. He deserves that chance just as much as anyone else.

I've seen and read plenty of interviews with David Cook where Archie is not mentioned. I imagine when it comes time for Archie to promote his album (which is his responsibility, not David Cook's -- I was pretty offended when some posters here suggested that it was David Cook's responsibility to plug Archie's ITunes rank tonight when the focus should have been on him, not someone else. If Cook somehow goes platinum during the tour, I don't think it's Archie's responsibility to mention that, either. It has nothing to do with him!) that most of the time David Cook will not be mentioned.

There is a Tubey video done on 08/05 where Cook states to a fan that he doesn't come out after the show because he has been working on the record. To imply that he's doing so because he cares about his fans less than Archie does is pretty presumptuous.

Probably it was out of line for me to mention buying KLC's single out of pity, but since so many people feel that it's an obligation as a Cook fan to support Archie, I was only pointing out that Cook wanted us to support KLC, too. There were more than few people who said they'd help out Archie if he was in trouble so I don't see why this shouldn't extend to KLC, either.

Neither do you, so why say that he thinks it's unnecessary to thank his fans? Double standard here? You can say how you feel, but we can't? Respect goes a long way, very true. So I think we all need to remember to respect all of the Idols, and stop judging them so much... especially considering the fact that we have no idea who they are or what their daily/nightly obligations are.

The single can be purchased through mj's site HERE. A lot of people are really surprised by that cover if for no other reason because she has such a beautiful face and you would think Arista would want to show it off. Really weird.

KLC's single was released today on ITunes and Amazon. Amazon literally figured out she had a single two days ago
whereas they've been plugging Archie for at least a week. They have had Archie's album available for pre-order for a month, but they just added KLC for pre-order two days ago despite the fact that she's had an official press release and release date from the record company and he hasn't.

To me, the treatment isn't equal so I don't feel bad about helping her out.

I just wanted to say that David A's music in the AI competition was never my favorite but I think "Crush" is cute! Reminds me of a Jordin Sparks song. Catchy and should get good radio play.

Since I did not know that Kristie launched her single as well - when I started this thread about ARchie - I knew that this was ARchie's big day.

So....I will take the blame for not not knowing any better.

I'm glad for Archie. I bought it today. I bet the Archie's are thrilled that it got to #1 today. I really thought they should have released it on ITunes the day it premiered on the radio show so there would be less internet copying.

I really think DC's blog was more to get us fans not to complain that they got a single out before his, so we would be supportive, just keep our cool.

KLC did a good job on her single, I think, but the song is definitely for country fans.

That's amazing news for Archie! I have the song on my Ipod and I really like it. Even though it's not my style of music, he brings something different to it that makes me listen.
