I encourage all of you to go up on Nick Gibson's my space - and check out his music. We are so blessed to be meeting some members of David's inner circle (Andy Skyb, now Nick).
Also, as Lisa (Blake) has mentioned, Nick's music is available on ITunes - I downloaded the album last night and it really is awesome.

Man, these guys are just amazing. Nick took the time to post on my myspace and say how excited he was about the event.

I will be at the concert on Friday, but will be around on Saturday for the event! It's cool to see that I'm not the only one flying in!

Stacey, hey there! We won't know who is raising money offline until they turn up day of event to turn in their funds. Of course, we'll see if any new teams out of KC or any new fundraisers out of KC sign up. But those offline folks (if any) are the bogeys.

Don't you worry. We'll be posting a whole special section in the Kansas City forum to give you all the play by plays from Kansas City- Nick's show on Thursday, buses/concert/charity chicks dorkiness on Friday, and of course the big event and ensuing mayhem on Saturday!

WOW.... leave for a couple of days and come back to all of this... it's like Christmas in August... lol

This is the first I've checked out this thread. Been avoiding it because I knew I wouldn't be able to get down there for this, and I didn't want to be jealous of all of you. Shoulda listened to that instinct!! So INCREDIBLY jealous that I'm missing out on this. I'm a country girl anyway, so hearing Nick just put me over the edge...WOW, he has some chops!

You are all going to have an AWESOME time the next two days, but you don't need me to tell you that. All I ask is that you leave a little of David for us folks that are trying to see him Sunday in Minneapolis! PLEASE??

This David Cook domino effect is amazing... I checked itunes and Nick's album is really selling right now... and each song individually has the "popular" meter all the way to the right! First Andy Skib, now Nick! I think it's great. Especially if both men become successfull, it won't be because David asked us to buy their music.. it's because we listened and loved them and their talent! We always love to check out the music being played by people whose music tastes we trust... and who's got better taste and judgement in music than David!
