We know many of you are excited for the hometown Kansas City shows and the big Cook Fans Unite 2 Fight Event at The Power & Light District on 8/30!

We are looking forward to a fantastic event and invite you to be a part or the festivites as a volunteer!
We need approx. 20 volunteers so it is first come first serve. Please email me at cookfanscc@gmail.com if you would like to join us! Please be sure to include your full name, cell phone number and age, just so we make sure we assign you an age appropriate assignment. Definitely post here in this thread as well if you are signing up so we can keep a tally of volunteers.

We will assign volunteers to the various areas on-site, but some we need to have set up beforehand to make sure we are covered!

We will need one experienced VIDEOGRAPHER and one PHOTOGRAPHER. Please let me know if you are willing to take on one of these very important tasks. We know how much everyone at David *dash* Cook.org loves to see pics and videos!

The following are a few of the areas we will need volunteers to help with:
Kids area- selling coloring books
Card decorating area for children
Sport Your Support check in table
Selling Bumper stickers
Raffle game
Deorations - All volunteers needed to help set this up
American Cancer Society tables (local chapter will have at least 3 employees to answer questions at these tables)
General donations
Photographer/videographer

If you wish to volunteer, here are a few things to know:

1 - Please be prepared to arrive no later than 2pm at The Power & Light District. We will be there as early as 1:30, so the earlier you can get there the better.

2 - Conquer Cancer t-shirts will be provided to the first batch of volunteers to sign up! (sizing permitted)

We need YOU to help make this event a big success, so please consider signing up! If you have any questions please let me know.

Don't forget, we have a fantastic musical guest playing the event, Nick Gibson, and as a volunteer you will be sure not to miss his set!

Ok I just sent you an email about volunteering. so 1:30 pm is the time we need to be there correct? I always like to be a little early so just want to make sure I read that right. Man my sister is going to love me. Unless they move up there call time she doesn't have to call in till 5 pm for both nights.

Hi everyone!

First of all, THANK YOU again for signing up to volunteer at the Cook Fans Unite 2 Fight Event on Saturday! We couldn't do this without you. We are looking forward to a very fun and successful event!

As I mentioned in my previous correspondence, we are asking all volunteers to arrive at The Power & Light District between 1:30-2pm.

Parking information and directions can be found on the Power & Light District's website here: http://www.powerandlightdistrict.com.

We will need help from everyone to set up decorations and tables. I have worked up a tentative plan for where everyone will be placed at the event, but some changes will be made on site as needed. We do have 2 photographers lined up, which is GREAT! We want to be able to document this event for everyone who couldn't be here. As of right now we do not have a videographer lined up, but Anita has offered the use of her camcorder. I will most likely be taking video unless I get someone signed up overnight tonight.

The event is taking place outdoors and word from Lisa is that it is quite hot in Kansas City today. Please keep that in mind when planning your attire for the day. We will have a number of CONQUER CANCER tees available and hope that everyone will be able to wear one. We had to guess on sizes though, so please forgive us if there are not enough for all to have.

I will be arriving in Kansas City late Friday night and can be reached on my cell phone at 202-210-2756. Please call me if you are unable to attend the event for any reason, simply so I know to reassign your job. We are so looking forward to meeting all of you! I can be reached via email pretty much 24/7 as I get my gmail on my phone.
