When I heard that this was the song David was singing, I freaked..not in a good way. I thought this was going to be the worse song choice in history.

David came out and Rocked it.
Made it a rock ballad. Hell yes.
But then again if you listen to Davids old stuff and kind of compare the lyrics you can see why he picked this song.
I just wished there was a guitar solo...sniff.

Blown away again by David hope it never stops.

And how cute was David.
He looked like he was about to pee all over him self with amazement of Simon's comment.

I wasn't crazy about him (although I thought he had a very good voice) until "Hello." What I like about him is his ability to take songs, even ones you wouldn't expect, and make them his own. Smart man.

This guy is going to be big. I think we have a budding Jon Bon Jovi on our hands. He's way talented, has plenty of charisma, and is easy on the eyes. I love his crooked little smile. He makes me wish I were 10 years younger, single and looked like Mandy Moore.

just click on the link and follow any instructions if there are..

That was fantastic! I liked him the first night-I thought he would be one of the top ten. Now I'm thinking he will make it alot further. Really love him. He has a different rocker style than either Chris (still my favorite) or Bo.

after he sang hello lets just say that every girl in the world wanted him in their bed that night!!!

Before "Hello", I thought he was okay, and that he was somewhere in the middle on my line of favorites.....

Then as soon as I heard the first 10 seconds, and saw the look he was giving the camera, I realized "Oh crap....I think this guy is going to be my favorite...." in a good way, and when he reached that belting note, I then thought "I officially am in love with him....."

Of course I was thinking this in my head and not saying it out loud.....because my dad was right next to me....that would be awkward....haha

...but yeah, like Krystalxx said....after that performance, every girl wanted to be the girl he was singing to....if there WAS one...

Think 'Hello' was the defining moment for a lot of David fans. Perfect timing too, right before the Top 12.

Yeah, me too. I actually didn't watch much of the show because nobody really caught my eye. Then one day I was sitting on the floor in my boyfriends room eating birthday cake and waiting for New Amsterdam to come on but had to sit through American Idol first.

When David started singing I just froze and stared at the T.V. I didn't eat or talk, just watched. When it was over and I was still awe-struck my friend said "I think Jess has a new boyfriend!" haha. My old 'boyfriend' was David H. but I dumped him after I saw David C. (and found out David H. was a stripper). I couldn't even put words together when my boyfriend ask me how I liked it. The only thing my mind could formulate was "love." ...hence why it's all over my pictures here. That was the word I picked for David.

They are the same, yes

I'm from Alabama so you know I liked Bo, and yes I love Chris also. But David is at least as good if not BETTER!

Hey campers! I'm not sure I'm even in the right thread, as I'm new here, but i wanted to say howdy and how much I love the Cook Man!

I'm an oldster from Dinosaur Rock Days- I practically lived at the Fillmore , Winterland and Avalon in San Fran back in the day. Saw everyone period, so I can plainly state that I know talent when I see it. And David has it in spades! Great musicality, vocal chops, presence, writing talent. I'm a bit of a songwriter/singer myself , so I appreciate his talent very much.

I hope he wins, or maybe it's better he doesn't, so he doesn't have to sing some lame coronation song or be beholden to 19 and their horrific selection of songs they inflict on people like my beloved Bo Bice!

Anyway, greetings to all on this cold spring day in the greater D.C. area! Oops, I thought I saw a cherry blossom winking at me.....

I just fell in love to David when I see "Hello". He is so good looking and the song is so beautiful! I'm watching the performance over and over again, and I can't get enough of it!

Is there someone out there who has this saved to their computer who is willing to make a sendspace?

"Hello" has alway been one of my favorite Lionel Richie songs. I used to sing it when I was a kid. But when DC sang it, he made it his own. Adding his own style. It's like a new song all over again. And even Lionel Richie called the show saying that he liked DC's version.

Firstly, i thought it was an amazing song! he totally rocked it! i have to be honest tho i didnt think it was a good song choice, but as soon as he started singing i fell in love. his perfomance was great..
