David Cook Fans Host Power & Light Benefit for American Cancer Society

American Idol David Cook has inspired lots of fans to unite to fight cancer. Cook's brother Adam is battling brain cancer.

This weekend, Cook will be performing with the American Idols Live Tour at the Sprint Center August 29 & 30.

On Saturday before the concert, organizers with David-Cook.org are putting together a fundraiser at the Power and Light District to benefit the American Cancer Society.

Cook Fans Unite to Fight will feature live entertainment from musician Nick Gibson, a chance to win merchandise autographed by David Cook, and other top prizes, such as two tickets to the Kansas City Chiefs home opener where David & Andrew Cook will perform the national anthem.

As an added bonus, the top two Kansas City fundraisers will win two tickets to Saturday night's Kansas City show and two after-show party passes donated by David Cook himself. Plus, he will help you earn valuable bonus points for photographs and autographs as you try to become the top overall team in the challenge and win an additional $250 donation to the American Cancer Society on your team's behalf.
