Hot Adult AC Tracks: TOML remains at #3 for the third week
Hot Adult Top 40: TOML remains at #7. There is almost NO movement in the top 10 on this chart.... numbers 3 and 4 flipflopped, all others, as Gavin Rossdale would sing, "remain the same."
Hot 100: TOML slipped from 28 to 35, but that's still a GREAT number. It's still well above where it was 3 to 5 weeks ago. Remember, the Hot 100 is a complicated formula that counts both sales figures and radio airplay. Huge airplay on AC has kept TOML in the top 40! The surge it got 2 weeks ago after the Olympic airings boosted sales by 35% last week and that's why it soard back up to #28. That it's still at #35 with this weeks DROP in sales is excellent. TOML certainly has legs! AC radio has embraced it.
Pop 100: TOML slipped from #32 to 39. This is chart is also a sales/airplay combo, unlike the Pop 100 Airplay which is only radio spins.

FYI: "Crush" dropped from #2 to #15 on the Hot 100. It dropped from #12 to #21 on Pop 100. I don't see it on the AC charts yet, but it's doing OK in Top 40, which is it's intended genre. "Crush" fell from #1 to #6 in Hot Digitil tracks (this closely follows itunes' charts and it's similar to the way TOML dropped by the 2nd week).

Thanks for posting that Scott. When the billboard numbers are posted at mj's blog with that HUGE chart that I post each week, I will bring them here and post them in a separate thread. smile.gif

Thanks Pam!
And to everyone else... take comfort in knowing that David's label is behind him 100%. RCA has done an outstanding job promoting TOML. I suspect its huge success is even more than they - or 19 Entertainment - ever dreamed of. As for David and Regie Hamm (the song's writer), both men have indicated that they are humbled by it. Instead of feeding their egos, it has humbled them. Don't we need more people like them on this planet?
