I just now lingered over to the off topic section and I saw this thread.

I've watched wrestling since I was a wee little one and then drifted off from it then got back into big time. And every now and then I drift off, more so since I don't have any cable/satellite to watch RAW. Anyhow when I was little I use to love Macho Man Randy Savage didn't matter if he was good/bad I loved him. I hate Hulk Hogan with a passion, along with a lot of wrestlers who tend to have as much talent as he does when it comes to actual in ring performance.

When I drifted back into wrestling that was about 92 and right when Shawn Michaels started his solo career and he's been my all time fav along with Macho Man since. My new fav who I'd list right up there with them is CM Punk. That guy is just great in the ring and his persona seems like the real deal. I also enjoy Chris Jericho, Jeff Hardy, and Mr. Kennedy. I also am a fan of some of the female wrestlers even though most people aren't into for wrestling ability but their looks. But I prefer the gals who can wrestle like Mickie James, who is one of my favorites just in general male or female wrestlers, Beth Phoenix, Victoria, and I haven't really got to watch Nattie Neidhart much but I think she'll be right up there. If they let these gals have actual wrestling matches instead of these extremely gimmicky or retarded 10 woman tags maybe people wouldn't bag on them so much.

I've been to several PPVs: SummerSlam 93, Wrestlemania 12, KOTR 96, Royal Rumble 97, Royal Rumble 98, Wrestlemania 2000, Over The Edge ( yes the one where Owen Hart died), New Years Resolution 2007. I've also been to a few RAWs ,Smackdowns and etc. I also went to some Nitros, nothing really to write home about.

I've tried to watch TNA but it just annoys me. They really need to get rid of the Octagon ring though, especially now since from what I've seen they don't really focus on the True X Division wrestlers anymore whom that ring is better suited for.

When it comes to merchandise I have way too much and probably should get rid of some of it but that's something that's hard for me to do.

Other than that I'm pretty picky up what wrestlers I like and I'm really hard on the ones I dislike.

Some fueds I'd really like to see are Chris Jericho Vs. MVP which would benefit both, especially if they sort of did a lot of like Jericho's fued against the Rock. A Lot of good promos from these two could probably renew the interest in Jericho to where WWE wanted to be when he made his return, plus this would elevated MVP to that next level.

CM Punk Vs. Randy Orton - I'd think this one would be good just because I think Punk needs to move away from ECW because there is nothing in their "land of Extreme" that would help elevate is career anymore. Plus with the belt off of Orton this would help build him up for whenever he does cash in MITB. Now for Orton it wouldn't really matter but I think he'd work well with Punk.

BTW Orton didn't lose the title because of any incident, he recently asked for some time off at least from House shows. And usually if they take you off house shows they take the title from you because people pay to see champions and if the champion isn't there it seems rather pointless, and I mean the world champions not like the tag champions etc etc.

See? I knew there was a reason I joined this forum. Wrestling and Music are the two things that are VERY close to me. I'm 20 and I've been a fan since I was about 6 or 7 years old. I was exposed to it by my Dad and Grandpa. I'm aware of what happened in the 80s through my Dad who was - and still is - a fan of Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka. I have a ton of faves including Roddy Piper (loved watching his interaction with Carlito, Santino, and Cryme Tyme on Raw this past Monday), The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, The Rock, MVP, Edge, Chris Jericho, Trish Stratus, Triple H, Randy Orton, CM Punk, etc.

I went to a WCW event back in the 90s but don't remember much from it. I went to my first WWE event on December 28th of last year and it was AMAZING! We got a main event of Triple H vs. Umaga in a steel cage! (The adverts never said it'd be a cage match so we (my friend and I) marked out when that happened!) But for me, THE main event was Chris Jericho vs. Randy Orton. I spent all of my energy on that match and those two stole the show and had THE BEST match of the night. It was so good that it's one of my all time favorite matches ever. Also, it was a defining moment for me seeing all of these guys wrestle live. I mean, I've spent so many years talking about wrestling on message boards, buying magazines, reading books, etc, so to actually be in the same building with them was humbling. I almost got emotional seeing Jericho though because back then I was still in this dazed state where I just couldn't believe he had returned so his being there made me so happy to be a fan of him and WWE as a whole.

After that show me and my friend met Paul London and he signed our stuff. He signed my dollar:



But that's not the best part. The best part is that he was really sweet and humble to all of us and stayed around to sign everything and take pics. Also, I asked him if I could touch his hair and he said "Sure, go ahead" and leaned in so I could run my fingers through his hair. I'm surprised I actually asked him but even more surprised that he let me. I will always cherish that moment. LOL! Take it from me, the camera does NOT do him justice. He is so gorgeous up close!

How awesome was it that for my first WWE event, I met a wrestler?

Seriously, that's pretty much all I do online - music and wrestling! LOL! They go hand in hand with me.

Paul London is incredible at wrestling, he's definitely in my top 10 favorite male wrestlers I'd say.

I've been a wrestling fan since the mid 80s and the Four Horsemen. Watch Raw and Smackdown, but cannot really get into ECW or TNA. My favorites are John Cena(was called BamaChainGang at one time on the sports boards, and used ChainGang at another AI champion fan site), Kennedy, CM Punk(a fellow Chicagoan), and as for the divas, Mickie James.

^I never got into ECW, so I'm with you on that. However, I slack on Smackdown!, but I usually catch TNA on Saturday nights haha.
I usually watch TNA 'cause of Christian. I miss him over in WWE.

i'm in love with matt hardy. although my favorite wrestler is jeff, because he does awesome moves. i think cena rocks. favorite divas are mickie and maria. it's cool to know i'm not the only word nerd who lurves wrestling.

Yeah, I don't think it fits him at all. I might have to give it a few more listens. When Jeff came out with his new theme, I didn't care for it either, but now I love it. But "Burn In My Light" was good stuff. *sigh* As long as Edge doesn't change his theme, I'll be alright.

I'm going to RAW tonight. Can't think of what to put on my sign though. I'm sitting next to the ramp. So I figure I might actually get on TV, depending on if they don't screw up the seats numbers like they usually do at Kemper Arena. I wish CM Punk was on RAW, grrr.

When I first heard it [they were here in Michigan of course too], & when he came out, I was like "waittt.. wtf? Where's his OTHER theme song?!"
I was pretty pissed off honestly.

I think his old theme "Burn In My Light" went with him A LOT more. When he first came out Monday Night to his new theme, he looked so incredibly awkward.. He didn't do his usual pose at the top of the ramp, & he just looked.. beyond awkward. He looked like he disliked the whole thing. However this past Monday, he seemed a little less tense.

I want to say I think it's Disturbed that does his new theme, 'cause that's who the leadsinger sounded like to me, however, I could be wrong. I'll try to research the title & artist for anyone that wants to know. =]

I just saw on You Tube that the new Orton song is called "I Hear Voices" by Rev Theory, but I checked the official band site, and no song is listed by that name, unless it is called something else.

^ I just googled it, & I keep seeing it with different titles. It could be that band, but I've seen it just listed as "Voices" or "Voices In My Head", & as you said "I Hear Voices".

Someone online said that Randy's new theme song was written specifically for him, & it is by Rev Theory. WWE just hasn't said anything, & I guess that means the and probably hasn't said anything about it neither. It's apparently called "Voices" from what people have said.

I'm a Cena fan, but I think he came back a lil bit way too fast. Though I love his comeback during Royal Rumble. Totally didn't expect it!

The Hardyz are my favorite tag team ever, in the history of wrestling. I was 16-17 when they were at the height of their fame, with all those TLC matches. I was SO into it, I'd go insane for every one of those matches. I used to go crazy everytime they won the tag belts. Seeing my reaction to them winning, you'd think I didnt know it was scripted. lol Jeff Hardy is still my favorite wrestler, in any company, to this day. He's just amazing. Im so glad he bounced back from all the hardships he's been thru lately.

I actually used to be a very huge WWE fan. I had been for years, but then all my favorites started leaving. You could say the last straw for me was when Stacy Keibler and Trish Stratus left. I left along with them. Lol. The Rock used to be my very favorite even when I was just a little kid. Then as time went on, I had an obsession with Randy Orton. I opened my first fansite on one of my favorites as well, Chris Benoit. What happened to him, I don't really want to discuss because I want to remember him for the work he had done in the business and not for the very tragic thing that had transpired.

I'm really a Huge Fan of John Cena. He's my Fave since I was in the 5th grade. And, he's just my fave. But, I wasn't able to watch WWE again due to hectic scheds. But, everytime I saw his pictures once again, I'm still falling in-Love with him the way i first saw him.

I was a huge WWE fan forever until about 4 years ago, I still watch once in awhile, but my favorite wrestler has to be Heart break Kid Shawn Michaels. Old school from the 80's and 90's was the best. My family and I use to buy every pay perview event and any local show that came to me area. Haha I was obsessed. Nice to see I wasn't the only female who grew up watching wrestling. OK, I was a huge Cena fan, until last night. I was soooooooo happy to see them put Hardy in the title picture, but that didnt last long. Cena didnt really do anything to make me not like him anymore, but Im really sick of him having the title ALL the time. He's not even that good. He only knows about 3 moves, his promos all sound the same and his character is completely worn out. And I really dont wanna see him feud with HHH AGAIN. I'd rather see something new for once. Thankfully the draft is coming up soon. Maybe one of 'em (or both, if Im lucky) will get shipped off to SD or ECW and we can have some fresh competition for the title on Raw....just as long as we dont get stuck with Batista. lol

I love CM Punk!!! His nickname in our house is Cute Mister Punk! I wasn't really a fan of his until I saw him at the ECW/Smackdown taping last year and he really got the crowd going. He was awesome and I was hooked.

IDK...I know a lot of his things were replaced courtesy of his fans over at Insideaway.net...which I think is totally incredible. He has some very devoted fans over there.

If Vince McMahon is a smart man (and I wonder about that sometimes) he'll give the fans what they want and we'll see Jeff as champ soon.

Vince always rants about giving the fans what they want, but he never really does. If he really cared about what the fans wanted, we wouldnt have to suffer thru the same exact title match 652 times a year. Jeff Hardy busted his ass for that company for years and has only had one title match, which was the greatest match of his career, imo. The entire crowd was behind him, on their feet screaming, JR was screaming so loud he almost gave himself a heart attack, and they never gave him a second chance at the belt. That makes absolutely no sense to me. Nobody on that roster deserves a title run more than he does, imo.

Amen!!! He needs another shot!! I loved his matches with HHH earlier this year. I think that brought Jeff up to the next level. I honestly think he needs another feud with HHH. I'm really getting sick of him taking on Umaga!
