I use Firefox with Ad Block to surf the web. I get no banner ads, no pop up ads, no "Hey Dummy!" ads, no Cookbot (sorry Travis!), no singing smiley ads, no "You have just won a free iPod" ads, no little Google classified ads mentioning subjects I don't want to read about, no little words underlined in posts, no Circuit City ads covering up half the page...nothing but website content, for ANY website. And it's heavenly!

Go to firefox.com to download the browser and make sure to get the Ad Block Plus add-on.

MAKE IT GO AWAY!!!!!!!!!

I don't think this is a pop up... it's embedded in the banner at top.

I also use Firefox with Ad Block so I don't have that problem either.

hhmm well I use firefox but maybe I am not using adblock, better check that out..

Guys - I hit the report button and registered this as a report. Not sure if the mods can do anything, but it will put a flag up for Travis to take a look at it at his first opportunity.

Guess it's time to fire up my Firefox. Haven't used it in awhile. I thought those noises (constant loud beeping)were coming from my computer somewhere. Thought my HD was about to blow!

And with 80% of my computer filled with David, it scared the bejeezuz out of me!

Hmmm, I wanted to see what all the "fun" was about, so I launched David Dash Cook Dot Org in both IE and AOL and, drat, I don't get the funny little annoying gaming sound everyone was complaining about. Maybe they fixed it and I missed all the fun??

Oh well, back to my unsullied by ads Firefox browsing...

ETA: Ha Ha! I just got it after all! Annoying Pac Man sounds! Okay, off to the peace and quiet of Firefox...

yep that's it and I am now chanting

hhmm well in tools/options I find pop up blocker and it is already one so no clue why mine is a PITA

I use Safari and have pop up blocker. I don't have noises but a stupid stub hub ad keeps popping up. Do I have to change to firefox?

Ugh! Since I am voting in the silly IDOLLIVE poll using Firefox, I'm using IE for d-c.org access. And that annoying noise has GOT TO GO!

It's still doing it, I was watching TV so I put the computer on mute. I just took it off mute and it's not doing it at the mo.
