The video tells the story of how we met David Cook at Target Center before the show and how he made my son, Matthew's day (mine too!!!!) by carrying him over the barriers and having him sign autographs for the AI fans. It was both surreal and really, really cool! I'll let the video tell the rest of the story!

This is awesome! And I'm just sitting here scratching my head trying to figure out HOW I missed it. Our group was on the other side of that corner you were on (we're the ones who gave him the Mavid paddle). I have some pics from that side of the funny faces David was making before he signed your poster (I'll dig them up and post them in a bit). But I DO NOT remember him pulling Matthew over the barrier AT ALL! Where did my brain go??

Matthew is an adorable and precious little boy. David really has a heart of goal and he is an angel.

Did you give him the blue wristband he's wearing in this pic, too? I didn't notice it in pictures I had from earlier.

Your brain is all there....we moved locations because I wanted to get another photo with DC since the one someone took cut his head off. We were further down by the tour buses when he picked Matthew up and took him over to sign autographs. Can you please email me the photos of David wearing the Autism wristband? I could not see it in any of the photos I shot myself. My email address is cindym4@mac.com. That would be great if you could do that! People have been super nice even after the concert....comments on You Tube, this site, and I also had another person email me a photo of Matthew up on the big screen when he did the Guitar Hero thing at intermission. What a day he had....amazing!!! By the way, your paddles totally rocked....I love what the boys did with them on stage!!! I remember you guys working really hard on those things and it certainly paid off!!!!!!

Oh, thank goodness. LOL. I know there are things about that day I still don't remember well, but I was certain I would have remember an awesome gesture like that!

I've sent you a few pics. I just connected the dots that this is Matthew from the GH intermission. What an awesome day for him, all the way around!

That was awesome! Exactly why we love David so much. I was standing beside you when Matthew decided that 'we could go now' quite insistently, since he had gotten the autograph that he wanted So when I saw him on the screen, I just had to take his pic - we were neighbors! Thanks for sharing that video with us - I had no idea all that had happened. Were you able to get the pics/video to David?

Awesome! absolutely awesome. Both davids gesture and your sons spirit just makes me so happy. God Bless your son and your family. How long did your son get to spend time with David?? I bet you as a mom were just beaming inside and out! Thanks so very much for posting this.
