OMG! How fun would that be? How much MORE are we talking though for VIP?
I think my husband will definitely be poopy, especially on a Wednesday night, AND the money...plus I don't have the money to stay over in NY and wouldn't want to leave really late to go home...oh I just don't know...what to do, what to do...

I would definitely be interested in joining any of the ladies going, please keep me in the loop. The people around me are not really Cookie fans (though, for those who watched, he was their favorite on AI) - let me tell you its lonely being the sole Word Nerd in unCookified surroundings!
NYCFORCOOK, does your contact at the organization have any idea yet how much the tickets will be going for?

I am told that General Admission w/Dinner buffet (no tables, David Wright doesn't like stuffy, he wants people to rock) will be $150. VIP room (Cookie might be in there before he gets ready to play) $500

Can you give us some idea of how many people will be attending? Wanted to get an idea of what size crowd we would be dealing with. Thanks for any info!

Kinda OT, but I wonder if anyone has a guess as whether or not his solo tour tickets will cost more or less than the AI tour tickets?

This is an opportunity too good to miss - just trying to figure out my logistics and work sched etc. I chose not to go to the Idols tour, wanting to wait for his solo, but this, just ahead of the album release is incredibly exciting! I have never paid $150 to see ANYONE- - - but it is for a good cause, too.
(BTW - thx for the contact - I don't know the mechanics to reciprocate - where/ how do I do that?)

$ not my prob really either--but that is a long haul from Rockford/Chicago IL area!!! We will indeed need vids and recaps and etc...!!!!!! My $ w/b going for the solo career now too--tickets to shows, magazines, CDs, etc, etc...
And I think the tickets w/b about the same as AI initially--as he gets BIGGER (and he will) then they will go up SUBSTANTIALLY!

Doesn't matter how many songs - the important thing is that he will be there.

I did send a note to the Foundation this morning to see when the ticket information will be available on the DavidWrightFoundation.com website.
I also let them know that there is a group of folks coming from NJ/NY and other areas and we are looking forward to attending this event in support of the Library project and also we are thrilled that Mr. Cook will be their guest.
I am awaiting a response back.

It looks like I'll actually be in NJ for this event (YAY!)

I've never been to NYC Hard Rock-is it large? Meaning will there be a limit on how many people could attend this?
Assuming there will be many many sports people there, is this going to be like finding a needle in a haystack. Not being part of the beautiful people that will more than likely be there, are we going to have to scramble for tickets?

I am sure that they are getting there large sponsorships, ect together and add'l info will be available soon.
