My name is Kayla and I'm a just-about-to-turn 34 year old from the Bay Area. My husband and I are loyal American Idol viewers - have been since the first episode of Season 2, and we've gotten our entire family to watch the show as well.
We started getting behind David because he reminded us of the singer/guitarist from a Los Angeles-based club band that we absolutely adore (it's kind of ironic because the guy in question is originally from Oklahoma, where we all know David lived before AI!), and now we're both firmly in the camp that DC is our favorite Idol ever. He just has everything that makes a musician great!
