It is time to party!! Well almost.

We will be having a David Cook album release party on Saturday 11/22, in Concord, Mass.
It will kick off around 7:30 pm and all are invited.

Plan to bring all your David Cook Multimedia and other items to share, including compilations, personal videos, pictures, recordings, whatever you might have.
Practice singing 'Light On' and 'Declaration' in your best DC voice for the epic sing-a-long!
Bring a partner and demonstrate your Mavid moves!
Bring your sharpie for a creative group shot!
Practice your bendy Dave moves for the backbend competition!
Bring your water bottle and show us how to shake the water off in style!
Tell me in advance any ideas you have for an excellent video opportunity!
Let me know your creative ideas for having fun on that night.

Please let me know on this thread if you think you will be able to make it so I can take a count. You can also PM me if you want.

Can't wait to meet all of you and party David Cook style!!

P.S. YES DAVID, YOU ARE INVITED!!! AND THE BAND TOO!!!
PM me for further (personalized) information

I had a brief thread here at one time, but now we have a date and location.
We will be having a David Cook album release party on Saturday 11/22, in Concord, Mass.

Plan to bring all your David Cook Multimedia and other items to share, including compilations, personal videos and pictures, Recordings, whatever you might have.
Please let me know on this thread if you think you will be able to make it so I can begin to take a count. I already know of about 6 people that are interested, but even if you have sent me a pm, please respond here to show continued interest.
Also, let me know your creative ideas for having fun on that night. Maybe we'll even have Karoke. Can't wait to meet all of you and party David Cook style!! I have also posted this over at DCO, so please respond on only one site. Thanks! Cathryn

P.S. YES DAVID, YOU ARE INVITED!!! AND THE BAND TOO!!!

Hi Cathryn!

I will put my name down as tentative. I certainly would LOVE to attend, but will have to see closer to the time what my schedule is, and if it will be feasible for me.

Thanks so much for doing this!!

Hi Sharon,
Consider yourself counted. Do you have other Cook fans that you know about in the area?

Only more "casual" fans--don't know if they would even "get it" about doing a CD release party!! LOL!! Altho, I suppose I could ask my 2 "casual fan" friedns...they may surprise me. LOL!!!

How many on the list so far, between the other post and any PM's you may have gotten??

Umm, I have to take a count tomorrow, I want to say about 10 so far.
I think the thread at DCO fell down the stack though so I have to figure out how to find it and bump it up
Have you had any luck searching over there?

Great! I've added you to the list. Pass the word and keep in touch.
Please let me know what great DC stuff you have so we can start planning.
I'm wondering if anyone has some sort of projector. We will have the place to ourselves, so we will be able to play music, videos etc.

I haven't spent as much time on DCO---I wasn't able to get on for a long time, and just was able to sign up /finally get a password about a week ago, since the web nerds finally fixed things. So, didn't even know you had a thread about it over there!! LOL!! ! smile.gif But yes--try bumping it up again so it's visible to Boston people. smile.gif

Hi Sharon,
Yes, I have been doing that this morning. I've got about a dozen people so far, but would like to get another dozen or so, so if you notice anyone is from the Boston area, you could direct them to my profile on DCO, I have the info on there and will keep updating it. Anyone from CT, NH or RI could probably come too.

Cathryn, thanks for the PM over at DCO. I'll sign up as tentative too - I'll have to make arrangements for my kids if my husband is working that night, and I don't know that yet. Also, I was wondering where you are holding it? Your home? A club?

BTW, if you are so inclined, skim through the Providence concert thread for possible other names. There was a good group of us hanging out at the buses that day.

I have rented a private room in town with no one else in the building except us.
We will need to bring our own stuff, sodas, snacks etc, but it will be inexpensive and we can hook up our own stereos, projectors, etc. so as to stream DC all night long with no interruption! There is a kitchen and even a small stage available for the braver ones that may want to sing or make a presentation.

Wow! This sounds great! I assume when we get a total count we would all split the cost of the room??

This does sound great! I hope I can make it. When I have some time later in the week, I can PM some people from Providence to let them know about this thread. Thanks!

That sounds good, if you could pm the Providence people that would really help. So far I've had responses from Mass, Maine and even NH. The room cost is not bad, $10 per person will probably cover it. Party!!!
I think this will be a great way to connect with potential concert partners too.

Oh, geez, that's not bad ($10/person)!! Sounds good---we'll have to get directions/location closer to the time, I guess.

I'm posting everything on my blog over at DCO.
Do you all have access to that? Let me know, if not I'll post it here too.
Thanks!
cookie_gal27
Maybe just post the link to the blog here? It will make clicking through DCO a bit easier. Thanks.

Actually most of the info is in the first post here, but I tend to update the DCO one more often, so here is the link.

If anyone has a projector that will show stuff from a laptop onto a wall, that would be great, let me know. Thanks!

Hi Catherine!

I can't think of anyone offhand that has a projector, but will keep thinking to see if I can think of anyone.

I think you are doing a great job at keeping us posted both here and on DCO--altho I must admit I check here more than DCO. smile.gif

Thanks so much for all you are doing!!

I'm sure you will think of something. How about printing out some of the lists so we can add to them?
Do you know the ones I mean? Like, 'you know you are a DC fan when __________ happens'

Yeah that would be a good idea! smile.gif We could either print out the current ones, or have a kind of list of things oir questions like this and then go around the room and have everyone fill in their own answers!! smile.gif

Yes, I think it is kinda fun to do both, read ones others have posted and then add our own.

Hi, Any takers from the Providence area?
cookie_gal27
I think you covered everyone with your posts in various threads, but I'll send a PM to double check. As for me, it looks like real life obligations are going to intervene. sad.gif

I vote for David in his underwear too! If for some reason he is not available to be in a room full of people he doesn't really know, and not wearing any pants, maybe Andrew would do it?
If not, we will certainly play the video a number of times!!
