Will there be a chance to get VIP passes or anything? I don't know if dc.org did it last time Cook was on the Today show with Archie, but I know NBC gave out passes to the Archie fans that date. Anyone know if Good Morning America on ABC will do the same, this time for Cook?

Guess there's only one way to find out.....if you want to go, send them an e-mail.

As far as I know, it's get on line as early as possible and just wait!

I am going too, so maybe I will see you guys there! I am getting there about 5:30am, I believe they let people in at 7am.. then the performance around 8:30. But I think there is a soundcheck in there too.

Well, I guess we should all plan on getting there bright and early! I gotta do my research on GMA...

I was wondering the exact same things DaniMarie! (Is that your real name BTW - mine is Dana Marie!). I wonder if GMA even gives out VIP passes like the Today Show and also how early we'd need to get there to get reasonably close to DC!
I've never done anything like this before for any band so I have NO idea! (The only time was with the VIP passes that Travis awesomely got us for the Today Show!)
Maybe someone else knows more?!

ya i've really never done anything like this either besides the today show (thank you travis), so anyone who has suggestions on when we should get there, where is best to stand, any tips, ect... anything would be appreciated. Thanks. :]

I am going to this too, and I sent an email to ABC through their website, but all i got was some kind of automated reply that didn't really answer my questions. I am going to get there around 5:30am since that's how long it will take my bus to get there, and i think they start letting people in around 7am? That is just from reading what other people have said, i have never been to anything like this either .. Maybe someone else had better luck emailing them?

I just wish we knew how the set up was - do we wait in line on the street and then they let everyone rush the stage at 7:00, or whatever time or are people going to be camped out in their spot by the stage all night? Just wondering...
I probably wouldn't get there before 5:00 - just not doable!

ya i probably can't get there before 5 either. I have to wait for trains and buses and such so there would just be no way for me to get there that earlier unless i go down at like 10 the night before which in november, i really don't t hink I'm up for it.

Anyone want to go in on a $200 hotel room close to the studio? If we have enough people we could use it as a home base and have a few scope out the line situation at a time and call when it starts forming. That is if we can all get up there (do hotels keep track of the comings and goings of who's in the rooms?)

Yes, i believe this concert is going to be Inside the studio, and that they let us inside @ 7 am.. Just from hearing people's experiences with other concerts here (I believe someone saw Daughtry there around this time of year, and it was also inside).. Yeah, 5 is definitely earliest for me, i am coming from 5 hrs. away, so i am leaving at midnight (crazy, i know, but for some reason, i don't care, LOL! ) so i think people line up outide the studio, and then they let in however many they can fit inside.. so i'm guessing we get to hear (and see?) a soundcheck and everything, since the concert isn't until 8:30 am, i think. So i'll see some of you there! I am so excited, and it isn't even Nov. yet!

(I think hotels do keep track of people, to make sure that people don't try to have more than 4 adults per room..)

Never in my life have I done some of the things I have done this summer in the name of David Roland Cook!

And the end does NOT seem to be coming any time soon!

I am not sure, but i think it is less than if it was outside.. There was another thread for this appearance before, and i think someone said maybe about 100 people or so? But don't quote me on that! I tried to email ABC a diff. way this time, we'll see if some one answers with a reply, and not a generic thing.

I checked GMA website again, it states fall concerts are free, no tickets, so I don't know what's up with that???

GMA is free, but you can request tickets for inside access for a particular date. First into the studio are VIPs, then they take people on the list who requested tickets. If there is still room, people waiting outside are allowed in. Two years ago for Daughtry, I believe only VIPs and those with tickets got in for the actual performance. There are also groups who request and get admittance.

Those on the ticketed list will be allowed in based on the order in which they line up (in other words - based on how early they arrive.) Those without tickets will be the last ones in...if at all.

I requested tix - but got a confirmation for a different date - so I'm not on their list. I'm passing on GMA for that reason.

Yes that is correct. I received an E-mail confirmation letter stating that I was confirmed for 4 tickets for 11/17/08 for inside seating and to be @ the studio entrance @ 6:15 or sooner. So we will see what happens---hopefully I get in and get close to David!!

Found out this past Friday that I am getting to go to GMA with my daughter and two friends. They know someone on staff at GMA and were fortunate enough to come through for us. I am so excited, I can't stand it!! Hopefully we will get close enough for some great photos and meet David!!!!! We have to get up at the crack of dawn to take the LIRR in, but is anyone more worth it than our boy?? I think not!!! Will report back!

My DVR says that both Stephen Colbert and David Cook will be on the show. Yes! - two of my favorite performers. Should be a great show!
