i've been looking at the recent pics and they look amazing but just not......him.
also that he looks like he is becoming very thin. he looks almost like he has lost a good 20 lbs. since the beginning of the show.
what is hollywood doing???

Reagrding his weigh we've seen videos with him recently and he's doing good. With pictures is difficult to analize because it depends on the angle they're taken... what he's wearing.

As for not looking him, it depends on what is the porpuse of the picture. The official RCA ones to promote his music make him look serious, angry rocker. But then you have the people photoshoot when he's just beeing his goofy self.
He is the same, pictures are just pictures and they're used to promote a product. David has no saying in those pictures.

I don't think David's appearance has really changed, but TPTB are using photos of him that are neither flattering or very natural. They're very posed, airbrushed looking, and metrosexual. I really don't like the picture on his website, but for some reason they seem to have chosen that as the "official" photo that you always see. I dislike the photo because his head looks stretched out and elongated and his hair looks greasy, but worst of all, he looks totally expressionless. That is just not my Cookie! He does look much thinner in the recent photos. There haven't been many candid photos of him since the tour, so it's hard to tell what he really looks like now.

As mentioned, most of the pictures we have seen since after the tour have been professional photo shots. None of us have seen him since the tour except for the folks that went to Ford Day and then after that - we only saw the vlog that he did from Time Square.

Some of us will get to see him in November when he comes out to NY for the David Wright Foundation Gala and then the following week for GMA and Regis and Kelly.

Don't forget, he has been in the studio, running around getting the album ready, finishing the video, hopefully having some down time with friends.

The first time we will all get to see him is SNL on TV unless some folks are lucky enough to get into the show.

For those of us going to the Gala we will let you know if there has been much change (he is still David as we know him) and we will have lots of stories, videos, pictures, ect.

he does look really different

As I pointed out in another thread, if you look at the pics at the top of this pic thread, it says they are from 10-15-08 and he doesn't look to thin on those. But I agree, some of these newer pics does make him look thinner. Do you think Davids weight fluctuates between 5-15 pounds?

Well in the beginning of the show he was a little chubby then he is now. I think he thinned out a little but he did gain muscle. He grew some arm muscle. He doesn't look sickly if that's what you guys are trying to get at. At the end the tour he was looking drained. I hope he got enough sleep in the last few weeks. Because once November 1 hits that is it, all work and no play. My advice for David is get enough sleep and eat well!

I thought the thinness was photoshopping. I hope.

I don't like the promo shots either.

We'll actually see what he really looks like this Saturday on Saturday Night Live. They can't photoshop a live performance.

I don't think David looks too thin. He has a very active life style now and has toned up quite a bit. As far as the posed photos are concerned, they are publicity shots and ALL stars pose for them and it is the nature of the business. They don't change who David is just because he looks a little more "polished".

You are just used to seeing David in the laid-back atmosphere of AI and the tour. I am sure he will look more like this as we see him perform over the next HUNDRED years.

Just sit back and enjoy the ride!

I know that he really look different now but for me, he seems to be fine.

Well, he is thinner than when he started idol but he still has come pudge to him. See the airport pics above. They were on 10.15.08 and he still has that little tummy (that we all love I might add). So like everyone said...the promo pictures are not as attractive as our happy, smiling Cookie. But they are all still hott!!
