Well, I don't know about you guys, but I found tonight's episode slightly boring...Even the funny stuff just wasn't that funny. The guy Adam, who sang Bohemian Rasphody, showed promise....I don't know---after David, it's just not the same...I'm a big fan of the show, I will keep on watching, I'm sure eventually I'll find a favorite for this year but, I have a feeling NO ONE will even come close...

We feel he has the best voice so far this season and will make it to the top 12.

I agree - The judges even asked him the same question they did David - Are you the next American Idol? He gave the same response as David - I think so. Kind of eerie! I still think Michael Johns did bettter with Bohemian Rhapsody, but this guy was good.

I feel ya on that on. It's not the same for me either without David it just seems so blah. Plus no one has caught my eye I actually forgot to watch yesterday only reason I rememebered the first week was cause I knew our Guy would be on it heh I'm also going to try and keep watching see if anyone catches my eye but no one can come close to what we all found in our Cookie last year. At least not for me

Its so funny how we all agree about watching AI8- I am so NOT into it this year. After watching David I felt an immediate connection and couldn't wait for the following week to see him again.And they can never replace the bonds that come out of season 7-----MJ - Carly - Brook- David - Jason - & the fun they had on tour.

Wow, last night's show was a snooze. I didn't like any of the contestants and the train wrecks weren't amusing at all. Maybe the "tray-chee-ah" girl was amusing for a minute, but that went on waaaay too long. I know a lot of people are raving about Adam, but I didn't think he was all that great -- especially not David Cook great like they're saying over at ew.com. To tell you the truth, I thought he looked a whole lot more like Joe Jonas.

LOL My friend called me on commercial break and said he reminded her slightly of DC! And my response was "yeah, his hair is similar..." His voice is definately worthy of moving on past Hollywood, although I have to agree with Feelin16again,...Michael Johns did Bohemian Rasphody best.
The only other contestant I'm watching out for so far is Danny Gokey...his voice is very soulful.
I wonder if tonight will be another disappointment...

ROFL...I can't believe that girl actually corrected Ryan, when HE pronounced the word properly!
Great. So for weeks I've been waiting to see Felicia Barton and Ryan Johnson's auditions because I've been hearing so many good things about them on the spoiler sites, and they showed them for all of 10 seconds each. Oh well, hopefully we'll see more of them in Hollywood week.
So tonight was okay, but that (B)Ryan Keith guy (can't remember his name?) caught my eye....and my ear. And the last girl who had been raised homeless, she was very good. Not something I would normally listen to, but I never thought I would listen to rock music either... Look what happened....
tonight was definately better than last week...a few good ones. That girl, Joanna, was good---so was the last girl. One or two guys weren't so bad either...I just can't remember their names yet

I'm still rooting for Anoop Desai. But no one will ever be as good as David for me.

In a way, he reminds me a little bit of Dave... He has a really original sound. He's somebody I'd be able to recognize on the radio.
I can't for the life of me remember any of the contestant's names at this stage BUT there were a couple of guys who tried to copy David's hairstyle. I remember seeing them and thinking that's how David's hair was styled towards the end of AI7. Posers!
Voice-wise.. no one has caught my attention yet but I generally prefer the latter part of the show and not the audition stage. I like when America gets to vote. Honestly though, even David didn't catch my attention in the audition stage.. *ducks flying objects* P It was Hello that did it! So yeah, I think a great standout performance is needed for whoever's gonna be the NEXT American Idol.
As for the names at the bottom of this site, I think Travis sets up message boards similar to The Dash in the hopes of catching the NEXT hot star to come out of AI.

Don't worry about that! I didn't even see David's audition. I saw Archie's, so I supported him from Day one, but I became a Cook supporter with Happy Together.

I liked David from his audition cause i love livin on a prayer but I didn't become a full fledged cookie until Hello then I was hooked and have been ever since
tonight's episode was just "meh" -- I think I dozed off a couple of times and had to rewind. I'm tired of auditions, lets get to some real singing already.

I've felt this whole season has been 'meh' so far cept for the awesome Cookie stuff we got in the first week.

Me too. The first two days contained bits of Cook, then the rest became kind of eh...boring.
