Yah... n i juz luv how he's sooo intelligent & smart... instead of rocking out to an ALW song like everyone thought he wld, he did the total unexpected & proved to everyone that a rocker can do an ALW vocally as well... chose the most sensual ALW song & showed us that there's a tender side to him as well, rocker dude as he is...

aaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh............. if he doesn't win this season, it'll be the greatest injustice ever!!! No one deserves it more than him rolleyes.gif

You can download a higher quality .avi video file of David's "Music of the Night" performance (72.38mb) here http://www.sendspace.com/file/7otxap (download link at the bottom of the page)

Encoded with Divx, you can download Divx codec from http://www.divx.com if needed. I recommend viewing with the Divx player as it looks best, which also comes with the codec bundle.

Thank you for the links here. I'd never used this format before, but I
have to say the quality was amazing! Love Love Love it!!!! rolleyes.gif

I've watched it bunches and Cookie didn't disappoint! Simon being
a man ... didn't quite grasp the sexiness exploding in this performance.
Thankfully I don't think any of us gals missed it! tongue.gif

Thanks again for sharing!

You too Travis. Each week I seem to be more and more anxious to watch
it again and relive the performance. You're a gem getting things posted
so quickly ... from videos to screencaps. You're amazing! biggrin.gif

I tried sooo hard to vote last night. I was able to vote some, but we don't have a house phone so I tried calling on the fax line, but then that died and got messed up. So I used my cell phone, but then that died and so I couldn't call...so sad. sad.gif

I didn't know where to post this....but I was LUCKY enough to see David perform Music of the Night in person!!! - I was in the audience during the taping of the show. I want to write everything about being able to see him, scream his name like crazy and be in total awe while he walked on and off stage. But I guess I'll find another thread for that.

As others have mentioned, I really wanted to know what David was going to do this week. The music started, it sounded beautiful. As I stood there with my hands in front of my mouth, I couldn't believe how wonderful it sounded. He began singing and I realized that he didn't need the "rock" sound, he was brilliant, and amazing. He truly did touch my heart with this song.

How wonderful for you to be in the audience to see David sing POTO live. From what you say it was amazing and I'm sure it must have been so great to be there to see him give such a show stopping performance

Thanks once again Travis for the downloads smile.gif
Minzhi's Cooker
Music of the Night took me by surprise. Cooker didn't add his rock arrangement to the song. Instead he sang it with the original arrangement and his voice came through as powerful, strong and most of all, emotional. I had goosebumps all over.

I must also commend on the studio version, which is also brilliant. I never thought Cooker can do this kind of songs and this proves that he can do anything, if he wants. Besides his rock edge, he has a stunning and amazing vocal range. Can I predict he will become the MOST successful AI contestant ever? hehe.

i've heard Music of the Night performed by a lot of theater and non theater singers, and David Cook's version was like a breath of fresh air. WHOA! just like what the judges said, "David Cook can sing anything. He can even sing the phone book."

If Phantom of the Opera was not filmed a couple of years back with Gerard Butler (another revelation), I'm sure Andrew Lloyd Webber would have picked David Cook to be the phantom. And that might have earned him an Oscar. smile.gif
